stompandgo's Cannondale Tesoro Neo X Speed build

I was surprised at how nice Di2 was when I got my bike. Shifts were so crisp I didn't even realize that the shop hadn't set the limit screws at all until the first time I accidentally double shifted and the derailleur rammed right up into the 42t gear. :( @stompandgo Have you considered...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

To be fair, if you are counting sales/prior model year pricing then Santa Cruz lists the Apex flat bar at $5100 and the AXS model at $6200 right now on their site. They did seem to raise the list price this year, but you can find them listed at 10% off every day and 15-20% pretty regularly.

From a stop at the Locks earlier this week. And a heron, from another stop at the Locks - watched him fish for about 20 minutes.

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

It has a different mounting system, so they would probably need a new frame. So maybe a sslr or xslr model? Also interested in this drive unit, especially now that they've had a couple years to work out the kinks with the hpr50. It makes a LOT of sense in countries with 25kph limits, but...

Grizl:ON CF 7 - Puppy Delivered to Vet

I think it looks like a pretty good placement regardless. Yes Stefan, Bosch uses a rigid hinged split ring with a screw to tighten. A 22mm with a 3mm gap is probably a better fit than trying to shim down a much bigger ring in that area. I did something similar on my bike, its just a lot more...

    RideWithGPS

I believe RWGPS is built on OpenStreetMaps data for it's layers, so by definition it is crowd sourced. It can lead to strange errors, like the underwater trails in my local dive park being tagged as bikeable, but it also means you can potentially correct errors by registering and submitting tag...

@Jeremy McCreary Try the OSM layers to see if something shows there. Or you can check OSM directly and see if there are any tags on the feature

Hopefully that continues. A few months ago Komoot sold out to Italian company Bending Spoons who has since laid off about 85% of the employees.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Very interesting Stefan. The part of my brain that handles integrals and differentials atrophied long ago but what you're positing makes sense. I can only speak for the Bosch implementation, but there is 1 clear difference from what you put forward in the above: the estimated range left...

Grizl:ON CF 7 - Puppy Delivered to Vet

On a BES2 bike, changing the wheel diameter in the display settings only affects the displayed speed and has no affect on the assist cutoff speed. The dealer can further change it, but to do anything that potentially changes the cutoff the mfgr has to get involved. I would be very surprised if...

Grizl:ON CF 7 - Puppy Delivered to Vet

Sounds about right. IIRC, when I was considering bikes with the Sprint motor the Bosch range calculator was showing 35-45 miles for my typical riding speed/conditions. 10wh/mi in decently rolling terrain with moderate assist. High speed >mid20's mph eats battery, but the real range killer in...

    2025 Criterium du Dauphine

van Aert set his 1 hr avg power record pacing Yates after the climb: 428 watts. At the end of a 200km stage, after a big climb, after bridging to the breakaway at 40km into the stage. Almost lost in the noise between van Aert's heroics and the EF/UAE Mexican standoff (technically a...

    Motor clicking

This is true, which is why I assume Deacon will swap pedals with those from another bike in his fleet or use pedals from his spare parts bin.

    Motor clicking

Dave has a good suggestion to see if you can trigger the sound without assist. Check the bolts holding the chainring to the spider - if one is a bit loose it can make a ticking sound at the same spot. Maybe try swapping pedals too

    2025 Criterium du Dauphine

@Jeremy McCreary if you have access to Max you should stream at least a couple stages from the Giro. Notably the gravel stage (5 or 6 maybe?) and stage 20. Stage 20 was up there with the best TdF stages.
