Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel the same way about the Turbo Levo battery as you do about the power tube. It's too long to carry a second battery, even in a pannier. There are some after market solutions for the Levo, but it is a real drawback if you like long rides.

ebikes are a healthy addiction, nice to hear they got you back out on two wheels... what brought ebiking to your attention?

Concur, I've got a 1998 Bionx 36V which I have run at 48V for many miles through tropical storms, etc. A well made DD with quality components is best for on-road distance work where nimble responsiveness isn't a primary consideration. Sorry I am not up to date on the latest from Bionx or...

Nice photos. Curious what "converting to a 1X" means? What all is involved in increasing the rotor diameter- is it necessary to custom weld the caliper mounts into a new position? Riding an ebike at night is fantastic.

Great ride, Ravi. From the first time I read one of your posts here it was clear that you were going to push the limits of the ebike world!

The first Turbo Levo I test rode at a LBS here in USA in September of 2016 dropped motor support above 15 mph. It must have also been flashed with the EU spec. It would be nice to be able to upgrade the firmware yourself.
