    Purchased New Boomerang Platinums Today

After lurking here for a long time and asking questions we bought 2 Boomerang Platinums today. We're excited! Dealer in Alexandria, Virginia, was absolutely first class in knowledge, patience in answering a lot of questions, and willingness to give us a reasonable deal on these expensive (by...

Boomerang Walk Assist Mode, Garage Hoist Capability, Handlebars, and Mirrors

Thanks for all the info, advice, and walk mode tip using combo of brakes and throttle. There may be day we have to walk these bikes up or over some manmade or natural obstacles and we will practice your technique in a safe area. I've seen the Jones H bar on a Rad Rover owner's bike and they...

Boomerang Walk Assist Mode, Garage Hoist Capability, Handlebars, and Mirrors

darksky, Thanks. Just the information I needed so I know what to expect. We'll search for a handle bar mirror and avoid using throttle for walk assist. Wish Pedego would update their controllers for walk mode as virtually every ebike now has this feature.

Boomerang Walk Assist Mode, Garage Hoist Capability, Handlebars, and Mirrors

I presume you are saying these bikes should never be stored suspended on bike hoists. And your rational is what exactly? Bike welds and other stresses of hoisting might lead to damage of the bike? Have you experienced a problem with bike hoists?

Boomerang Walk Assist Mode, Garage Hoist Capability, Handlebars, and Mirrors

As we get close to purchasing our Boomerang Platinum for wife and Intercepter Platinum Step-thru for me, wondering if they have a walk assist mode like most ebikes using the minus button on the display controls. If not, is the throttle sensitive enough to allow a walk assist mode without bike...

Which Boomerang Platinum Battery to get?

Thanks darksky. Appreciate your info. If we get these bikes we will opt for larger battery than stock version though not the $1500 version. Also trying to find the Thule hitch rack but sold out everywhere. Extended ramp makes good sense. Wondering if you have had any issues with your bikes...

Which Boomerang Platinum Battery to get?

Wife and I were in local Pedego Store today looking at and testing Pedego Boomerang and Interceptor step-thru Platinum bikes. We really like them because we both have balance and leg lift issues but want to keep riding as we have for the last 60 years on road bikes. Yes, we're 70+ years young...

SAFETY HAZARD - RAD Mission - Chain Tensioner Failure

Thanks everyone for the heads up here. Thought about ordering one of these because of discount but will not now. Fact that Rad will not acknowledge this issue widely makes me hold off purchasing. Imagine a new car drive train failing soon after purchase. That model would be recalled...

    Add two Drops

Thanks for your great first impressions. As you have noticed and many others have with electric bikes, the sudden surge of power to the motor can be disconcerting until you adjust or the controller is adjusted. These Dosts seem like great long haul travelling bikes as well as general...

    How About Some User Reviews

Dost ebikes must certainly be in the hands of users by now. Would be helpful if new owners can provide their initial impressions and review of these bikes. Buying a Drop now results in August delivery. Hopefully Dost will sort out it's build/delivery delay issues. Six months (with payment...

    Add two Drops

Hi, thanks for your first impressions. What make and model rack are you using? Appears the bikes fit fine. Any issues with the rack. We are looking for a rack which can handle weights of Dost bike.

    Magnum Low Rider

We're also in the D.C. area looking at this Magnum among other models. Two Magnum dealers in the area. You can search for them on Magnum's website. Called both and neither had this model in stock to checkout. They can order the bike for you and assemble it giving you a local bike shop for...

    DÖST IS LIVE!

I want to purchase a Dost but won't until I see some customer reviews. Please Dost, ask your first batch of customers to review their bikes and post to this forum.

    Level 2020

Can any owners describe the build process on this particular model when they received it. EBR's Pace review indicated more work is needed to build the bike out of the box than other brands. I'm interested in this model, have basic handyman skills, but have never put a bike together.

this $1500 electric bike ships right to your door

Clearly some comprises here but still may be a good value priced bike in the Charge Comfort and City versions. 250W hub motor, very basic display and controls, no motor cutoff on brakes that I can see. Other basic (and easy to find) parts. I think the intent is to get this to the customer...
