    Raleigh Sprite IE Fixer Upper

A couple weeks ago, I came across what I think is a 2016 Raleigh Sprite Ie on facebook marketplace for 250$. I thought it would make a nice project and good ebike for my wife. Apparently the bike came with a wrecked motorhome at a dealership. It had some frame rash on it in spots, but...

    TranzX ebike crank/pedals slipping

So I picked up a Raleigh Sprite Ie with the M16 Tranzx mid drive motor. It was a fixer upper. I've got most of the "bike stuff" sorted and when I took it for a test ride today, I discovered that pedaling allows the motor to kick in and move the bike. If you pedal really slow, without much...

wheel speed sensor spoke thingy missing

Hey everybody, quick question. I picked up a 2016 Raleigh Sprite (tranzx) ebike. It was a project that somebody else was in the middle of rebuilding. Anyway, the person working on it, replaced both wheels. When he did that I'm guessing he didn't take the little thingy for the speed sensor...

Untitled by mikesova, on Flickr Untitled by mikesova, on Flickr I've been having brake issues, so I decided to just order a new set of Zoom brakes. I was able to just use the old lines and wiring. I installed them, bled them and they were ready to go.

Changing from Zoom brakes to Shimano Brakes with electric cut off

I have an E-Joe Koda that has I believe non labeled Zoom 875 hydraulic brakes with electric cutoff. They kind of suck. I bought the bike second hand and the brakes had no pressure and barely stopped the bike. I figured they just needed a rebleed. After bleeding the fronts they worked...

    My 2017 E-Joe Koda

Over last weekend I bit the bullet and decided to pick up a slightly used 2017 E-Joe Koda. It has 545 miles on it and was in decent shape. There were some scratches on the frame, but overall seemed to be in good shape. The brakes were really soft and barely stopped the bike. (the bleed kit is...

E-Joe Koda "ghost pedaling" / chain slack

Nevermind. I put it on a repair stand got the wheel spinning and hosed down the cassette/chain with tri-flow. It seemed to take care of it.
