    Nothing but smiles!!

Took deliver on a 17" Black ST2 this week and couldn't be happier. A couple issues right out of the gate. The soft power button was giving me grieve but a call and conversation with Joel Montecalvo the Stromer Service Manager and it turned out to be a wire in between the button and the Omni...

I'll be curious to see how it works out for you. It's a pretty nice look stem and the design seems sound.

I think that is this one - http://www.elektrofahrrad24.de/stromer-st2-federgabel-komplett-kit-e-bike#.VrqSGxie67c. Thanks!

Thanks. Is it true the door won't stay closed without the battery?

    Strap around battery compartment

I've noticed a lot of pics with a Velcro strap around the battery compartment. Is the battery door problematic or are people just doing this a precaution? JT

    Stear tube diameter of ST2?

That's nice! Have been running the Fox forks on my mt bikes for years. None better in my opinion. That looks like the Float. What steer tube size on fork? I'm guessing 1 1/8.

    Stear tube diameter of ST2?

You must be in Europe as I see a plate. How do you like the Suntour? I'm using a thudbusters on my current commuter Tout Terrain (btw - they are putting together some gorgeous e-bikes) and the back (stoker) of my Bike Friday fold-able tandem my son sits on. I'm going with the BodyFloat on...

    Stear tube diameter of ST2?

Thanks for the replies - I think I'm just going to stick with the stock fork. My commute isn't really that rough and 2.125 tires should be more than adequate to soak up the bumps. But being a bike geek and all - I just had to know. :)

    Stear tube diameter of ST2?

Ya I saw that but a little pricey for a Suntour fork in my opinion.

    Stear tube diameter of ST2?

I'm sure one of you know. Curious as I'm wonder what other fork options I may have available.

Mid Drive Vs. Rear Hub motor

Thanks for your reply. I always work with a local dealer - love to talk bikes so never have a problem building a relationship. This will be a daily commuter bike around 8 miles each way with a couple of good hills going home. I've ridden both now and they are really amazing bikes. I think...

Mid Drive Vs. Rear Hub motor

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't agree more about the Stromer being and extraordinary bike. The build is really amazing and a truly polished design. I will admit I'm leaning that towards the Stromer. I talked with the shop owner here who sells them and he pretty much does my same commute on...

Mid Drive Vs. Rear Hub motor

I think I may have already found my answer from MLB. "Geared hubs handle hills a lot better than gearless. Confused by the advise here, though he/she didn't ask about hills. Gearless use more power and get hot climbing. Not the choice for hills." Stromer is gearless and the S11 is not...

Mid Drive Vs. Rear Hub motor

So I'm considering an e-bike after 40+ years of cycling as I'm finding my knees are starting to give me grief pulling the hills on my commute here in Seattle. I'm considering 2 really fine bikes in my opinion (which is good as I've build up 9 bikes for myself over time and those are just the...

Can I ask what model front XTR derailleur you installed? Specifically what mounting bracket was utilized? Thanks!
