Thanks. Is it true the door won't stay closed without the battery?

I've noticed a lot of pics with a Velcro strap around the battery compartment. Is the battery door problematic or are people just doing this a precaution? JT

Thanks for the replies - I think I'm just going to stick with the stock fork. My commute isn't really that rough and 2.125 tires should be more than adequate to soak up the bumps. But being a bike geek and all - I just had to know. :)

Ya I saw that but a little pricey for a Suntour fork in my opinion.
