    defunct

Seattle Wa is getting better. Most new roads put in have bike lanes included. We also have a number of trails that are designated for both bikes and foot traffic. Unfortunately in the city they tend to be way to crowded to ride my Stromer. They actually put a 2 way bike lane through downtown...

Continental Top Contact II vs Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres

Shift into the smallest rear cog. Find a soft spot to flip the bike over so you don't mess up the mode buttons or simply rotate them out of the way. Loosen the through axle with a 5mm allen and pull it out - I've got a t-tool that works really nicely. Pull the rear derailleur back and slip...

Continental Top Contact II vs Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres

I'm running the Marathons on 2 commuter bikes and love them. One being my ST2. Roll really nice and corner well on the often wet rides I get here in Seattle. I did encounter a flat but it was a inch long sliver of steel that maybe only tuffy liners would have deterred. Found out I can...

    Transporting a Stromer ST - 1

I've used this style of rack on our metro buses here in Seattle with fenders with no issues. You just have to make sure to front wheel ratchet is actually on the tire just to the front of the fender. Mind you this with my other commuter - non e-bike.

I agree - SQLabs. Check out Radsports - they will send you and kit to measure your sitbones to get the right width. I have the 610 Sport and LOVE IT!

    Transporting a Stromer ST - 1

My take - I've seen a number of trunk racks fail with much lighter bikes. I wouldn't risk it. I actually had a friend drag is $3k mtb along the freeway at 60 when his trunk rack gave way.

Some tasty upgrades to the ST2

First off I can't say enough great things about this bike. I've been a bike enthusiast going on 30 plus years and I can say this is one of the top 5 bikes I've ridden in my day. And I've owned a LOT! I've spend more on bikes than most have cars. Want to share a few components I put on this...

biking is awesome on Mt. Diablo trails, Concord Ca.

I lived in Walnut Creek for about 3 years and use to mtb Diablo all the time. I remember one wet fall day riding down a road they had recently graded and was watching the mud pack up on my tire when next thing I knew the front wheel stop and I was ejected over the front of the bike. We...

This is what the ST2 should have come stock with

The BG sounds good - I lived in View Ridge for a while and use to ride that. Gets a bit congested. I find it REALLY tough to ride trails now as Dotty (my ST2) just loves to go fast!! :) I'm a solo parent so I have to plan rides but I can make it happen. I heard from DJ you got your fork...

Where do you live in Seattle? We should meet up. I'm in West Seattle and commute to downtown.

This is what the ST2 should have come stock with

DJ over at Electric & Foldable Bikes in Ballard ordered it and did the install. I was going to do it myself as I've done this kind of work before but Joel from Stromer kind of talked me out of it as to now screw with the warranty. No nothing has to be done with the break line aside from the...

Looking For A 2 Bike Carrier

Here's another really great foldable rack - https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Kuat/N101.html. It's rated at 60 lb per bike. Can't roll it up like you can the Thule. I've had Thule roof racks and they do make fine racks.

Anyone tried both an ST2 & A Kalkhoff S11 Integrale

I'm with Ravi on this one. I looked into the Kalhkoff S11 and test road one several times. I agree it is a really exceptional bike and for the price has some top quality components. But my decision to go with the ST2 was as Ravi said - the gear-less motor is really well suited for commuting...

    That is AWESOME!

    Brakes still squeaking

Way more important for DH mountain bikes in my opinion where you are doing LOT's of braking as the brakes will fade when they heat up and potential warp rotors.

I've run these on Avid Elixir and XT brakes - awesome pads. http://store.radsportusa.com/Performance_Disc_Brake_Pads_p/inox-pad.htm.
