    My new Carbon...

Adding thicker tubes definitely help too! I use Schwalbe Doc Blue tube sealant which patches up small punctures without having to take off the wheel.

    trailers and ebike

There's quite often attachments that you can get with your trailer to attach to the rear bolts of the bike. The attachment stays on the bike once it's been installed

Stromer ST1 Review - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

If I don't stay in top of keeping my rear disk clean it can get quit loud too. It's weird that 3 bike shops can't figure out a derailer... It's not that hard. Type in the name of your components on YouTube and you'll be able to adjust it yourself!

    Sticky Regen2 mode when braking?

I'm not familiar with that issue. I did have my bike in regen mode, but I did that myself. It kind of sounds like your cutoff switch is sticking, but I'd check with your LBS to double check

New "minimalist" helmet for a new biker?

It's a pointy head! Your right it is snug... Even tighter with the winter liner

    Multi-season/sport helmets

I have a Bern and it's a great looking lid. It's not that cool on hot days as it lacks a lot of the venting that normal road helmets have. It is awesome in cooler weather with the winter liner however

New "minimalist" helmet for a new biker?

Sorry Vandon I just noticed this question. I have a 23" (58cm) sized head. If it helps I wear a 7 1/4 sized fitted hat

Speed Hack - no more limited by 27MPH cutoff ??

My Stromer had no problems at those higher speeds. I head down a steep long hill everyday and get to 65km/h every time. She handles it no sweat! I can't get there on my own (gearing, motor top speed) but if I somehow had a motor ad battery combo to get there my bike could handle it. I will say...

    The ebike's cousin... electric skateboards

Clever idea, good find Daniel! I like that if your in between public transit (bus stop to train platform) it would be easy to bridge that gap quicker. Cool looking product too

    Pedal resistance on Stromer ST1

It sounds like your bike is set to regen mode. I had mine turned on inadvertently a while back and it was an unpleasant ride. Follow the instructions attached and see if that makes a difference: http://www.stromerbike.com Hope it works for ya! As for your dealers suggestion of shifting to a...

    Electronic shifting vs Manual shifting

It makes sense that electric shifters would make their way into mainstream ebike usage. I'd use them for sure!

Poll... How is your Stromer holding up?

Sounds like decent service from your lbs!

    Wind-blox

Yeah I've been using them for a few months as well. They do work best when stuck right next to your cheek as you alluded to. Pretty cheap too!

So I made the plunge, bought a couple of ST1's

Tell me more Chris! What kind of cost/know-how would I need to make my top speed increase on my ST1?

Zzipper Bicycle Fairing for Electric Bikes?

The Platinum motor cuts out at just over 28mp/h so your not that far behind the Platinums' top speed.

Going the distance on an ST1

Yeah some more range would be nice... I'm working my battery pretty hard every commute. Empty to full charge twice a day will take it's toll eventually
