Hello everyone, I'm thinking about buying the sondors rockstar as all the other options I have looked at either have too low battery capacity/not mid drive/hardtail or cost 2x-3x. The biggest concern I have about this bike is the motor volume, I'm coming from a RadRover which has nylon gears and...

I want a different seat at least because the ridges on it cause some butt-pain lol. I will hold off on upgrading the battery and motor until probably next year as it goes quite fast as is and lasts a good while. A rear rack as well so I can put some food on there and flat fixing parts.

I used my RadRover today and I am very happy with it. It can go up to 23.8 mph with me on it which is a satisfying speed. Peddle assist level one works better than I thought, I still can get exercise on peddle assist 1 but go at about 15 mph at the same time. It is also the most comfortable bike...

This thread should probably just be closed if there are mods around because I don't need it anymore and Hector is just trolling it seems.

Just because you made your own ebike with high end components doesn't mean everyone wants or needs that. Why did you come to my thread just to go on a crusade against buying a built ebike? I can easily modify the radrover if I choose to and it will be what I want to have. I also see you are a...

What PAS level were you at to go that distance? I was hoping I could get at least 20 miles in level 2-3 so that is a good distance.

I did research building one but the problem I was having was that the fat tire bikes I would use as the base were either too expensive for just the bike ($1000+) or they were 17'' frames or 18'' frames with low handlebars that would be too small for my height. Also even with the cheaper fat tire...

I don't think the radrover is crap or they wouldn't sell so many. But I will be replacing parts on it

Yeah it is crappy they made you wait so long on yours, but it has indeed shipped as it is now in Oregon from Washington. I saw on the tracking number today though that the scan code on the box was unreadable and was replaced so hopefully that is not going to cause any issues. It is coming this...

Yeah I hope it actually will ship and won't be really delayed. I emailed them so hopefully they can tell me.

My bike actually shipped today so that is a nice surprise to be sure. I guess I must have ordered mine just in time.

I noticed this morning it said "Low inventory, buy soon!" And then it quickly went back to saying backorder. That was weird.

Do you know how long it has been in backorder?

I ordered the RadRover 5, I hope they are going to start shipping them sometime next week as later than that is no longer "early April".

I was wondering if the Rad was compatible with 3rd party batteries or not. I am not sure if the BPM supports any other batteries or not.

Think I better go with the RadRover and I will look into that stuff you mentioned when I upgrade it at some point if I do. The RadRover is a good bit cheaper anyways. Thanks for the help concerning the upgrades. I just wish the battery was more integrated into the frame on the RadRover.
