Strava - RideGPS - other apps?

I had been adding the POIs on the computer. I had kept the app on full screen so didn't notice the tools thing either.

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

Sorry to be the negative here but the only problem with speakers is that everybody gets to hear your music. Nothing is so annoying as riding along a peaceful trail listening to the birds listening to the crickets listening to whatever and then slowly the music builds as somebody who's got the...

    Chain Lubing?

My chain gets lubed based on where I bike. If I'm on the crushed limestone towpath I'll try and remember to lube every single time I ride. Otherwise it may be a hundred miles or so if I'm on pavement.

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

All I know is I was on the Allegheny River trail, a very very bumpy trail, And with my beats pro in, I could hear my water bottle bouncing out behind me on the trail 🫣. Evidently I forgot to zip the pannier shut. So I'm satisfied with my ability to hear my surroundings.

Do you regret buying (or not buying) Step-thru vs. Step-over frame?

As one with screwed up knees. I don't think I would be riding if it wasn't for step-thru. I've tried.... had to tilt my old trek to about 30deg to get my leg over. So I'm very pleased with my step thru city cruiser

Too Many Posters Asking Others To Do Web Searches For Them

I don't know enough to provide decent answers, but I can fully understand asking a forum because most Google searches these days give ad supported answers and not very accurate answers. So why not ask the people that actually use the products

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

I justify using earbuds while riding because I use a varia radar, so I have my little "beeps" in my ears when cars or other bikes are approaching

Ohio to Erie trail on ebike

Nope goes from downtown Cleveland on the Ohio/Erie canal to Cincinnati. Although you guys do have a nice paved bike trail up in geauga county. And you can always check out alltrails and filter it for bike rides and even paved if you want that to find more good bike trails

Ohio to Erie trail on ebike

What are you trying to figure out? Have you checked out the web page? https://www.ohiotoerietrail.org/ Maps can be downloaded there also, or order printed guide books. A good portion is on rail-to-trails and community bike paths, and the rest is on roads. Roads that I have been on have road...

Ohio to Erie trail on ebike

I'm working on it.... The lazy, 6 workday a week style. All of the towpath through Fredericksburg. Next year's vacation will get Cincinnati. And eating away at the area in-between when I can.

California Assembly member proposes driver's license for e-bikes

Enforcement would be no different than it is now. They catch the ones they catch they don't catch 85 to 90% of the rest. Kind of like watching people run through red lights 90% of those are never caught even with traffic cameras

California Assembly member proposes driver's license for e-bikes

I think I agree with the class 3 restrictions and licensing. (And yes I appreciate the arguments comparing safety of bikes vs the percentage of fast moving/unsafe twits on analog bike). But bikes that can go as fast as mopeds should be regulated like mopeds

    which app to use?

I've been doing the same pondering. Playing with ride with GPS, komoot, rails to trails, all trails. I personally have settled on komoot for the actual ride. All trails to help find as I prefer bike trails overriding in the roads and all trails seems to have the best listing of available...

Mounting a varia radar on city commuter

Creative! I've got a battery that sits on the rack, but I'll try something like that. Thanks

Mounting a varia radar on city commuter

Fooferdoggie, thanks, I had bought what looks like the exact same clip, but no where to mount it. Thanks everyone for the input

Mounting a varia radar on city commuter

Has anyone with the city commuter have suggestions on how to mount a varia radar? With the battery above the back wheel I don't think a seat mount would give enough clearance for the radar. And I have not found a good mounting adapter that would mount it to the rear pannier frame. Will probably...
