My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

I may have to break down and get a backup that I'll keep charged and in the saddle bags.

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

Nice. And thanks for replying to my thread. My only regret is not purchasing the longer life battery. I never anticipated riding so far and find I'm out of juice for big hill close to our house

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

So yesterday I used it as a mountain bike for the first time. I chose a moderate trail and maybe should have started with an easier one, it reminded me of when I started skiing as I was very unsure of myself on the tight downhill parts. I had heard about the muddy low spots but since it hadn't...

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

Yes well said. This thing is like crack, I had to ride before heading out for Easter Sunday, today I knocked off work early to try a mountain bike trail for the first time. The shorter than expected battery life is a blessing, as you said it will force me to work harder and rely less on the...

Learning to ride and ride and ride

I thought about you and this thread as I took my Juggernaught out for the first real ride yesterday, see my thread here. https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/my-first-ride-on-my-first-ebike-biktrix-juggernaught.27672/#post-192674 For me town is 7.5 miles and I was not sure I could...

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

Yeah that makes sense but I never figured on that when I started this. I just figured the battery would put out the same amount and as long as it had a charge the bike would perform the same. This is good info to know and just reinforces my need to dial back the power on the flats.

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

2nd day out and I apparently rode 40 Kilometers. I had no idea I went that long. Battery was on it's last bar. I noticed the last climb home was much harder than the first day, do ebikes typically lose a bit of power if the battery has discharged?

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

This bike is perfect. At the top of the climb I got off, obviously, and felt it in my legs. So I knew I was getting somewhat of a workout but it didn't kick my ass and destroy my experience. I know now that I can conquer the big hills at the highest setting, well except for one really long one...

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

After years of research I found the one. I have always been frustrated at my inability to walk out the front door and go for a bike ride, I'm 60, 250 pounds and my area is extremely hilly. I needed a bike with the torque necessary and everyone I rode or researched in my price range of $2,000...

    Biktrix Stunner

For what it's worth I just ordered a Biktrix Juggernaught https://www.biktrix.com/collections/bikes/mountain-bikes It delivers on Wednesday and I can't wait. I switched out to the 3" tires as I ride mostly pavement or gavel as well. 750W mid-drive with 120 Nm of torque with a throttle for 2...

Dog walking/running connectors that attach doggie-to-bicycle

Oh no doubt. When I take my Shepherd to the field behind our house to play Frisbee by the second throw she is squatting. LOL

Dog walking/running connectors that attach doggie-to-bicycle

Boy I don't know about this. I too have a Giant Hybrid and once rode with my big German Shepherd on a leash. She was great but I never got past the possibility that she would suddenly run in front of the bike and cause a serious accident. Having her tied up behind me where I could not even see...

Total Noob Here, Need Your Help

I wasn't able to find that opportunity around here but I did ride a few demos. I liked the Haibike Suduro I referenced in this thread but it did not provide the power I needed. Maybe there will be more options when we shop for my wife.

Total Noob Here, Need Your Help

Good morning. I wanted to bump this thread to give everyone an update. I finally pulled the trigger yesterday on the Biktrix Juggernaught with the 750W motor at the center of the page. https://www.biktrix.com/collections/bikes/mountain-bikes Pretty scary to invest so much in a bike I have not...

    Introducing Rich from Crazy Lenny's

Thanks for both replies although selecting the correct gear and learning about cadence is something I'll need to understand as I go. So if I'm not mistaken the idea is not to gear down to Granny Gear to get up the steepest climb as I would a traditional bike? Do I have that right? JayVee do...

    Introducing Rich from Crazy Lenny's

You know it may have been Lenny's. Shop in Wisconsin and Florida, is that Lenny's? So sorry to misrepresent the conversation. So let me ask you as I've gotten conflicting info. When I see specs of a Haibike SDURO 4.0 (Yamaha motor) I see it listed as both 250W and 500W. Can you please...

    Introducing Rich from Crazy Lenny's

I am a fan of Crazy Ray's, you guys have a huge selection and great prices. However when I called I talked to a guy there who insisted hub motors offered more power than direct drive. I told him I had heard the exact opposite and even directed him to my thread on this board as we were on the...

Total Noob Here, Need Your Help

Her bike was around $350 from a bike store 12 years ago and has only been used occasionally at the beach. As I said she shows some interest but it's going to be hard to justify spending thousands only to have it sit in the garage. I am considering the simply conversion like the Copenhagen...
