Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

Sorry guys, for some reason didn't get a thread email until today. @niltohams - While the double side guard worked for a week or so the chain started to move it slightly no matter how much I tightened it. Probably just way too much force & vibration with 24 miles per day. Same thing with...

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

It didn't even cross my mind that the guard wouldn't be perfectly flat. Good thinking! I put on the double sided chain guard ($25) last night and no drops on the ride in this morning. Anyways it looks like there are quite a few solutions posted in this thread.

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

Yeah, your probably right. It likely sits a bit farther away from the frame than the stock one.

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

Sorry for confusion. My first pic was to show there might be enough room for a double sided chain guide / catch to fit between ring and guard. Second pic shows that the ring is pretty close to the stay already.

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

The chain stay is what you are calling the Swing arm. What year is your bike? I got my CCS early 2018 and my chain ring is almost touching the chain stay. We might have different parts.

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

I inspected further and I don't think my CCS can fit a double guard anyways. They chain stay is just too close (pics attached). However there looks to be enough room to fit a double sided change guide so I bought one on Amazon and will let you know the results. I also found the Deckas 130BCD...

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

It doesn't get jammed, but yeah it can fall in that small space. If I downshift and keep pedaling it will pop back on the ring though. Thinking about it more it's not really a chain guard since it lets the chain fall off. It's more of a chain ring guard so you don't get your pants greasy.

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

Yeah, me too. I'm guessing that guard wouldn't allow it because of the design. The OEM doesn't taper in like that.

I believe stock is 52T, did you get the 52T Deckas one?

Any chain drop solutions on the CCX?

The third eye chain watch has eliminated almost all inside drops after 2k miles, however I'm now starting to get outside drops. I checked with a chain tool and it doesn't appear to be stretched so I guess maybe my derailer isn't providing the tension it used to. I would love to find a...

Charging to 80% without a Satiator

That's actually pretty good range if you have the 12.8 battery. Going from 80% to roughly 30% I get 12 miles on level 3 assist. My average speed is usually around 20MPH and my moving average is probably 3-5 MPH higher. Keep in mind this is hilly New England so that takes it's toll on the...

Scrambler throttle / controller upgrade kit - broken molex connector

Did this on Sunday. Aside from getting that crank arm off it was pretty easy. Crank arm took about 20 minutes rotating between a heat gun, the puller, and a mallet. After getting the arm off it's just a matter of pulling the old sensor off and cutting zip ties. The new one was actually a...

Scrambler throttle / controller upgrade kit - broken molex connector

I received it and will be sure to post a picture of the part for those who are curious. Now I need to lookup how to install it.

Scrambler throttle / controller upgrade kit - broken molex connector

Well, I conveniently received an email asking me to rate my satisfaction with my bike. In short I wrote great bike, dissatisfied with service. Soon after a manager shot me an email saying they released my order with no charge. I'm not happy that it had to take the "squeaky wheel" route but...

Scrambler throttle / controller upgrade kit - broken molex connector

Thanks for that. I definitely will and if that's the same part it's nuts that Juiced would have pushed back sending me a replacement under warranty. Would have cost them pennies. Juiced MSRP is listed as $70!

Scrambler throttle / controller upgrade kit - broken molex connector

No, the red one was just an example to compare it with the pulled out one. They want to sell me the part and said they could ship it out right away for $40. I might just do that but to put it mildly, this has really tarnished my otherwise great experiences with my two Juiced bikes. It...

Scrambler throttle / controller upgrade kit - broken molex connector

The other connectors came apart without much issue, it was just that one. I spoke to someone on the phone and he told me that they sometimes use a heat gun. Nice of them to put that in the video. I only gripped the connectors as I was afraid of putting stress on the wire and strain relief...

Scrambler throttle / controller upgrade kit - broken molex connector

I'm pretty disappointed with Juiced right now to say the least. I followed their video step by step. The only way to separate the connector is pulling and it just so happened that their molding failed when doing so yet this is their response.... "Thanks for reaching out to us. Resoldering...
