    Finally shipped... but ground. If it fixes the problem it will make it close to 4 weeks from receiving the bike DOA to up and running. Not a quick process so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

    It is probably jumping off for a second making it feel like a slip. The guide plastic looks like it's getting some wear so it is certainly not staying on the ring all the time. Mine didn't come with a guide but I added one and that's how it would feel. Taking 2 links off will help.

    That is a pretty crappy situation. I think giving the option of shipping the replacement in advance, with a temporary charge on a credit card, could have handled this much better. It would have also given you a return shipping box.
