Once again exploring new e touring bikes.

The Super Delite is really a full suspension mountain bike with a rear rack. It’s a very capable bike. That said shedding weight is key, ultra light camping equipment and dehydrated food might help. The best option is a non-electric bike, go slower and push the bike up steep grades.

Once again exploring new e touring bikes.

The Riese and Muller Superdelite with a Rohloff IGH and a front rack might met your needs. I use a dual battery Nevo with a Rohloff for bike touring on gravel roads. Loaded with camping gear on gravel roads and 3,000 feet of elevation gain I’ve gone 75 miles and had 40% of battery remaining. You...

The storage on the left contains the kitchen items. With two doors, one facing out and one facing rear seats. The top unfolds out the door for a table. The cabinets clip in to the same connectors as the seats so easy to take in or out. They also slide left and right.

The solar generator seemed to be the easy to charge the bike batteries when camping without a plug-in. The small frig. also is powered by the 1500 w generator.

    The Green Room

It seems to be a weight and tire size. 50 pounds and less than 2” tire. Not sure if they care about the battery.

    The Green Room

Unfortunately Amtrak is not so friendly to ebikes and bikes with tires wider than 2”. It’s also first come first served with limited slots on the bike rack.

    Step through?

I’ve found the R&M Nevo to be a great touring bike. 4500 miles and no problems. For touring I install the front rack and carry 40 pounds of gear, I weigh 200 pounds and 73 years old.

House Representatives Panetta & Blumenauer introduce "e-bike Act" federal tax credit

So what plan do you have to address the environment? I lived in coal country and the fossil fuel industry has not been kind to their workers nor good land stewards. This is an electric bicycle forum that advocates their use for both transportation and recreation. I spend the winter in Jim...

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

I’m in the same situation, my wife also has greater ease riding up steeper grades. Although she is a life long cyclist and exercises much more than me and is also considerably lighter. I have the same bike (Nevo) in both the Enviolo and Rohloff and just don’t buy the marketing point advantages...
