    Electra Blade complete!

Upgrades completed... for now. Fork bag, front and rear directionals operational, hard bags permanently mounted, new Tailbones more streamlined saddle, Shenkey hi output headlamp (with seizure inducing strobe mode), ElectraBlade logo on the downtube and battery blind with a “broken glass” finish...

New bags! Really very difficult to modify and install. Several weeks work in my scant spare time. She’s coming along. Several more tweaks coming...

    A cooler (less warm) helmet?

I got a free helmet with my Voltbike but my heads not circular so that didn’t work. I like the adjustable inner cage on the Giro helmet and it’s very light and not too pricey.

    A cooler (less warm) helmet?

Hey Nova, do you think that is more marketing strategy or fact? Some of the prices I see on things aside from helmets are really excessive. Your thoughts?

    A cooler (less warm) helmet?

I use a helmet similar to this one. Got it at Dicks sporting goods. Around 25 bucks. Light, lots of air holes and not too goofy looking. I have one in white and one in black. When it’s very sunny out I wear the lighter one and it’s not as hot.

120 mm geared rear hub motor?

How did it go with your Trek? I’m thinking this might be next years upgrade but why not think ahead. I am going to inquire around with LBS and see if there is any interest. I am also thinking about putting the same motor in the rear to uncomplicate matters and have everything run off the same...

Yes, my friend. I guess I should’ve said a dual motor set up.

120 mm geared rear hub motor?

I recently did a DIY front hub on my Nirve Switchblade and I am very happy with it as it is but I am a “push the envelope” type of guy and now I am toying with the idea of an AWD bike.

    Is it spring yet??

It goes on and on for many miles. Lots of bench stops, changing elevations, in the woods, wide open etc. everyone loves it. It used to be an old railway.

    Is it spring yet??

Hey Kurt, I was out on the NCT on Saturday and while it was nice to be outside for awhile and give my new girl a twist.. the forest is still incredibly barren for this time of year. It is sooo beautiful in the deep summer with all of the associated sweet smells of everything growing and such...

120 mm geared rear hub motor?

Good morning all. Is anyone aware of such a motor. I saw a toylike model online yesterday but I am curious if anyone knows of something like this that is 500 Watts minimum. Thanks.

    Is it spring yet??

No. It is not F’ ing spring yet. My apologies Ann and Court. I live in NY. I went out for my first Trailride on Saturday at 3:40 in shorts and a T-shirt. By 5 PM I was freezing to death. The temperature dropped 10° in one hour. And since then it has been just horrible here. The 10 day...

Black Pie Edge first trail ride

First warm weekend day in my neck of the woods and I took my new girl out for a spin to break her in, so to speak. My other bikes are geared so this is my first DD motor. Interesting diffence. On the flat the performance is what I am used to with my other bikes except this motor is really really...

    Electra Blade complete!

Beautiful day on the trail today. First actual ride aside from neighborhood testing. This is a great ride. By dialing my pedal assist down to about 50 Watts (eco mode?) I was able to double my expected range. I was getting around 4 miles per AH. Throttling around my neighborhood I was getting...
