Does RadCity + Large Basket work with Ortleib Bags?

Looked at Rad baskets at the Seattle store last summer and there seemed to be some access (between the basket rails) to the upper rack rails with the basket attached however the spacing might be wrong for your pannier bags. You might try asking the Facebook Rad Power eBikes Owners Group since...

2018 RadCity Pedal Assist not moving down when pressing down arrow

Does walk mode work? (hold down "down arrow" button while in any PAS 1-5). If not, the control switch is most likely your problem. If walk mode works, problem is most likely elsewhere (wiring harness, connectors, controller, display) In any case contact RAD as I'm sure they will make it right.

    Chain slip??

Sounds like your left crank arm is loose. Tighten the crank arm bolts and see if it gets better! (A new bike should not have any chain or gear wear)

A Rad owner's impressions of the LBS

My guess is that they don't want to spend time supporting a local competitor's brand (a brand they don't carry or stock parts for which takes time away from their core brands) and I guess they feel they don't need the extra business? I've heard similar stories from others; I would ask the LBS...

RadCity 1200 mile report (new owner)

Thanks for the tip; can you please post a link as I've been looking for some T handle Hex wrenches? BTW: I discovered that a regular hex wrench won't help with adjusting the inner rear brake pad on a RadCity, Step-Thru or RadWagon due to the large direct drive hub motor blocking easy access to...

A Rad owner's impressions of the LBS

I saw a recent video of Pacific Bikes in China where the author was traveling there to see where his European branded bike started life. In the background, I noticed they had a Riese & Müller cargo bike in their show room among many others.... Don't think China/Tiawan always equates to poor...

    Fenders for Rad Rover

My understanding is that Rad is having to redesign the fenders (for mini and rover) because they moved to off-shore production last year, the fenders received were defective as they tend to melt and deform in the sun (this was not discovered until the warmer weather of spring I guess). Now I see...

    My handlebars keep coming loose

Confused about this statement. Are you saying the right and left handlebar grips are not going up or down at exactly the same time? The stem angle adjustment you showed in your pic will raise the entire handlebar up and closer or down and further away. If one handlebar end (grip) moves up while...

    My handlebars keep coming loose

Just checked our step thru and it only has the one bolt at the stem pivot point...just like yours. I was mistaken and thinking of my other bike which has two bolts. Give Rad a call...sounds like something's wrong with the stem.

    My handlebars keep coming loose

In your picture, that's the adjustment bolt on the adjustable stem and it normally should not get loose if you tightened it sufficiently and also tightened the bolt underneath that secures the wedge; which I believe it should have. Mine was setup by RPB Seattle. I would contact RPB and let them...

Yes, I tested it and it works on my rover and step-thru.

    Radrover 2018 Peculiar Issue

I originally thought so too however I believe the main motor hub bearings are still turning while coasting, since the hub motor is an integral part of the wheel, so perhaps they are the cause. Having the same speed relationship to the noise is also interesting; if it's the same for both our...

    Radrover 2018 Peculiar Issue

Sounds like the issue I've been experiencing. I noticed this noise the first day I had the bike and took it back to Rad in Seattle and they said it was motor noise and it was normal that some of the motors were noisier than others however it still sounds like the brake rotor or something...

    Rad mini fenders

It's my understanding that the fenders made by the Seattle company do not melt in the sun however they were considered too expensive by many so Rad switched to an offshore supplier which unfortunately had the problem of melting in the hot sun so Rad pulled them from their stock and is now...
