Is riding an ebike like a regular bike a lot harder with ebikes being heavier?

The turbo is a sweet ride, but it is a very heavy bike. The cogging drag isn't something that can really be felt specifically. Probably only would make a difference in cumulative effect over a long ride (especially when combined with the bike's own weight). Just clarifying, because a reader...

    How does torque sensing work?

With the better systems, this is accomplished by simply increasing the assist level. You get more bike's effort, and less you. If you combine a high assist with easier gearing, you will find there is a threshold reached where you have virtually no resistance on the pedals (unless you are going...

Are all bike parts labeled with brand name and model?

Do you mean you are concerned about the mechanic stealing your bike components? Anything is possible, although I doubt it is a frequent occurance. Probably a good idea to visit some of your repair shops and get to know the people.

Is riding an ebike like a regular bike a lot harder with ebikes being heavier?

It actually depends on the bike. Some would be almost impossible to pedal any significant distance, others feel just like a normal bike, just a smidge heavy. Another option are the bikes with regeneration. Pedaling becomes harder than normal because you are choosing to put energy back into the...

Riese and Muller coming to USA

It has been a little while, just checking back in to see if your samples have arrived. Also, once a customer places an order with you, how long should the customer expect to wait before receipt of his/her bike?

debating wether to jump to another ebike brand~

Personally I find the larger size wheels more comfy. Court mentions in reviews that larger diameter tires can span potholes better, kinda go over rather than down in. I doubt anything will make rough roads disappear completely, but increased tire size could make a difference. Balloon tires...

debating wether to jump to another ebike brand~

Maybe you could rent a likely candidate for a week before deciding to switch? Just an idea to consider... a fatter tire bike might make the potholes more comfortable.... Actually, I just went to check your bike specs, and they are 2" tires already. 2.5" might help some, but actually I was...

good urban mid drive, full suspension bike?

Why urban, do you need racks? Lights? Riding position?

debating wether to jump to another ebike brand~

Since it sounds like your dealer is willing to help, switching bikes is probably gonna be a good idea. Going to a mountain bike (designed for roots, rocks, and ruts) with suspension... seems like it might be just the ticket.

    Ebike for Long Distance Touring

Bike comfort is going to be a huge priority. Ride as many bikes as you can to figure out the correct geometry. Rent bikes for a while if you can. A bike can feel great during a 10 minute test ride, not so great after a couple hours. If it were me? I would start with doing 30 mile day trips...

Proposal: Removing the Deals Section of EBR Community

To keep these threads clean, I would recommend a 1 month limit to the posts. (Automatically delete threads that are older than a month, requiring a repost if the item is still available). Also, how about the stores don't advertise specific prices at all.. just say they have a sale or...

Greetings! EBike for legally blind roommate?

Look up Luna Cycles and Radrover. Those are two reputable companies that might have something in a budget friendly price. Be careful of your source. Many of the cheapest systems may not be as good as you want. Remember, if your roommate's job depends on the bike, reliability is paramount...

What kind of motor is this??? ~evelo ebikes

Although it looks different, it is comparable in function to Bosch or Brose. Have no idea about durability, noise level, responsiveness, etc. Hopefully someone with experience can chime in.
