Plugging in heated snowmobile helmet visor to front light wire of Ultra 1000?

Can confirm: the SRAM shifter on Ultra 1000 works well with a variety of winter gloves (I use Hestra 3-finger and 5-finger gloves depending on temperature, with pogies usually). I've taken the Ultra 1000 down to -63C this winter and the bike has done superbly. No deep chill issues. I also...

Juggernaut Classic is back for $1999

I'd personally pick the Juggernaut if I was buying new between the two of em. Mid-drive is more versatile, also has tire/wheel choices, plus the battery format on the Jug is more common (Reention Dorado). So if you buy a bigger battery pack for it, you can use it on other bikes more easily...

    2019 Ultra 1000: Excellent!!

You got it! So what I did was take an existing ebrake, remove the lever, printed a short single finger one, added a tension spring, and used its existing brake cutout switch, taking over the front brakes disconnect. Since it's also higo connector, I simply unplugged the front brakes disconnect...

    Biktrix Purchase—Phenomenal experience!

Ultra 1000 here too, and similarly fantastic experience dealing with Roshan and Biktrix team. Bike has been killing it through winter, down to -50C temps and blasting through foot deep snow. The excellent pedal assist precision handles very, very well on super icy conditions with studded tires...

    2019 Ultra 1000: Excellent!!

Yep it fits great there! Mid winter update: Bikes been fantastic so far, for a bit better cold weather comfort I swapped the handlebars to Chromag Cutlass (Carbon Fiber). Have ridden past -50C, should pass -60C with windchill this week. Everything functioning as intended. Also have a wicked...

    2019 Ultra 1000: Excellent!!

I have the trail version, and run it relatively low aim-wise. Great light. Gives me a big well-lit area area, everyone definitely sees me (but not high enough to piss anyone off). Have a Meilan tail light as well which is very visible.

    Ultimate cheater bike

Cool that's good to hear, better torque in a small package, and no drag for unpowered riding (which is actually pretty practical when the bike is this light)

I'm referring to the motor (gear reduction vs direct drive, rear hub motor)

I take it the rear hub in this is a geared one yea?

    Ultimate cheater bike

in a 35 pound bike, keep in mind. knock off the fenders, swap to a lightweight post/bar/saddle, take a few more bits off and you're rocking 350W peak power in just over 30 pound bike... Even stock it will be fairly snappy!

New Bafang Ultra - 1000W Torque sensored motor!

I bought one of these recently (3rd gen) and couldn't be happier with it. Running 3" studded Wrathchilds and kicking winters ass. Of all the Juggernauts I've ridden, I like the geometry of this one best!

Stunner LT - new and improved - better than ever

Super cool to see the LT growing so much! I always figured this format would be a big hit (and glad to own one of the very first ones, still going strong with no issues at all).

    2019 Ultra 1000: Excellent!!

Had a fantastic first morning ride today, after getting it all set up yesterday and nearly wiping out with an unexpected wheelie... Wow! Huge upgrade in power for me. The throttle definitely works! Set up with 45NRTH 3" Wrathchilds, to be studded on Monday. Brooks Cambium C17, Outbound Lighting...

How does the juggernaut do in snow? Any modifications?

Haven't had to insulate my pack yet, but if I did, I'd probably use a neoprene-space blanket construction (simple, cheap, flexible). For something more rigid, light guage stainless is pretty effective, or something more up-budget like 1/16" Macor sheet (extremely insulating and impermeable by...

Ultra FS -- 400 mile update!

That is awesome to hear! Good idea on rear shock option, it sounds like it was a really effective upgrade. That's concerning about the battery unseating, they really shouldn't do that. Check that the bits that retain it are all tight and not flopping around (particularly where the terminals...

Changing the chainring on a Juggernaut Classic HD

Yep the stock Bafang chainring is often changed out by folks riding hilly offroad or cities with lots of climbs. For most people, the stock ring seems to do just fine (typical town+city riding, or countryside stuff). I'm also from Saskatoon and do prefer the bigger rings typically. More pedal...
