    Intuvia clock not keeping time

Yes, I noticed it too. I need to set the clock on the Intuvia once a month or so because it annoys me to have different times on my Intuvia and my cell phone that I have right next to it.

Different setting after firmware update. Sport vs. eMTB.

Update from my LBS: They spoke with Bosch tech support and it is like I suspected. During the firmware update they have the option to select eMTB or standard setting. For the Performance Line CX the default selection is eMTB. So if you ever do this with a Trekking bike make sure to remind your...

    Removing Miranda ISIS Cranks

I have a Haibike XDuro Trekking too with the stock cranks and I hear you. Just today I swapped those Miranda cranks for SRAM EX1s, which come with built in crank extractors and are much better quality. I ended up having to use a puller tool to get the left side cranks off because the Miranda...

e-MTB - Flats or Clipped In?

Why not both? I installed the Shimano Deore XT dual sided pedals (PD-T8000) on my commuter. Now I can either clip in for the commute, which I prefer, or go with regular shoes for short trips. Fantastic quality too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZDLZD3

Different setting after firmware update. Sport vs. eMTB.

I had my Haibike XDuro Trekking RX at the LBS for a firmware update this week. During the first ride after I got it back I noticed that the function for what used to be "Sport" had changed (the third highest setting). Instead of providing a stead, higher level of support it seemed to be...

Dork disc... Love it or lose it?

With a properly adjusted rear derailleur the problem this disc is supposed to prevent will never happen. There are two little screws on the derailleur that adjust the upper and lower shift limit and as long as you don't touch those you will not need it. If, however, you ride offroad and maybe...

Charged halfway and now unresponsive. Help!

Update: I brought the bike to my LBS yesterday for a firmware update and to see if they would pull any error codes. Clean bill of health and no issues with any of the components. Now I am back to thinking my charger may be going bad. I also had a loose connection which i fixed, so that part of...

The infamous Motobecane HAL E-MTB. I bought one…

I have those pedals on my commuter and they rock! Good choice.

Charged halfway and now unresponsive. Help!

I tried but am not sure I am doing it right. When I put the leads into the openings marked "+" and "-" I don't get a meaningful reading on the multimeter. Is there a trick to it? Normally when I hold them to the poles of a battery in DC mode I get a steady reading.

Charged halfway and now unresponsive. Help!

Don't know the manufacture date. It was on a new 2016 Haibike XDuro Trekking RX that I bought on closeout in January 2018. I have almost 3000 miles on the bike as it is my daily commuter.

Charged halfway and now unresponsive. Help!

Thanks for the replies! I did not make it to the LBS yet but seem to have narrowed it down. There appear to be two separate issues. One being a loose connection or bad contacts. I cleaned the Intuvia contacts and opened the connector side of the motor and made sure everything is seated well...

    Rearview Safety Options For Ebikes

I have tried several different mirrors and my favorite for years now is the Bike Peddler Take-a-look. Stable, easy to mount and with a good field of view. Mounting it to the helmet may require zip ties, depending on design, but you can also mount it onto your glasses. I have gotten so used to it...

Loud Bicycle Horn (Car Horn for Bicycles)

I had one like that on my city bike when I lived in Munich. It came in handy quite often.

Charged halfway and now unresponsive. Help!

After my ride home Friday I plugged in my charger as usual and all seemed well. The indicator on the Intuvia and the lights on the battery blinked and it said "charging". But when I came in the next morning, the Intuvia still showed "charging" but the battery indicator and LEDs were only up to...

    Riding in rain?

I had gotten into a downpour shortly after I received my XDuro Trekking RX and nothing happened. However, I noticed a few weeks later, when I happened to take off the Intuvia head-unit as I was going into a store and locked my bike that there was some corrosion around the row of contacts between...

    Grease for seatpost?

What the others said. Pretty much any grease will do the trick. Little mechanic's and bike tourer tip: deposit a blob of grease inside the bottom of the seatpost. That way you'll always have some available in case you need it on the road.

    Bosch Innovations for 2019

If only that COBI system was available for the USA I'd be very tempted. I always wondered why they did not design a head unit with a universal holder for phones and an associated app from the get-go. I would love to replace the Intuvia and phone holder I have right now with the single screen of...

Why did you buy make and model?

I bought a 2016 Haibike XDuro Trekking RX in January 2018. Had researched for a while on here and elsewhere and a friend of mine had bought a Haibike Urban S RX the year before and let me ride it for a few days. Then it was a matter of waiting for a good deal. Ebikes of NE had a closeout sale...

Battery not charging all the way?

Good to know. Thanks! I will check this out. I'll also clean the contacts on the head unit. Never considered those but it makes sense.
