    Low temperature affecting battery

Glad I found this thread from a couple of years ago! I'm experiencing this as well (although it's not that cold here, high 30s F, which is around 3-4 C). Here's more info: https://www.bosch-ebike.com/en/news/safely-through-the-winter-with-the-ebike/ Although I don't know about you guys - I get...

Groundbreaking New Innovation On The E-Bike!!

Keep up the ideas, but I'm a hard pass as well. I'm in the camp of those who want to sweat and work hard but go faster than is possible without assist.

    Turbo battery cover cap

@James Kohls My LBS had a box of them and gave me one for free. I tried a few and some were definitely stronger than others!

Vado vs. Turbo X/S Efficiency -- How many Wh/mi?

I'm curious what kind of power usage stats you guys are seeing. I've heard that mid-drive bikes are supposed to be more efficient but I don't know if that's actually true. I'm typically seeing 17-20 Wh/mi and I'm cruising at around 26-27 mph (average is more like 20 with stop lights but my...

    Turbo Vado 6.0 ?

I would take these forums with a grain of salt - it's rare to see people log in and post to say "bike worked great; nothing broke today." It's the same thing with car forums, etc. Check out the mileage thread and you'll see people with 10,000+ km/mi on Turbo bikes. I'm over 3000 miles on my...

Latex Gloves for Cold Weather Riding

I've had these for years and I've been happy even with my cold-sensitive / Reynaud's hands (granted we rarely get much colder than ~40F here in the Bay Area): https://www.planetbike.com/store/products/biking-apparel/cycling-gloves/borealis-cycling-gloves-994.html

Who Knew? Switching tires adds 10% range on batteries!

@Gator I am running Almotions on my Turbo and I'm quite happy. I have ~1200 miles on the front and ~750 miles on the rear. Where I ride (across the Dumbarton Bridge) it's always windy so hard to compare speeds (no good control group) but I think they're a little faster given that I find myself...

    Turbo (hub drive) metallic sound?

My update: I took it to my dealer (Mikes Bikes) and they were very helpful in giving me a loaner rear wheel (including motor, spokes, etc.) to help isolate the noise. With the loaner wheel, the noise is gone! I'm going to report back and I hope this will yield a warranty claim.

Known Issues & Problems with Specialized Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

@eagamer80 Congrats on getting to 10k km! I'm wondering if changing the display to miles might be a good way to extend the odo another 40% or so (but at the cost of having to learn our newfangled system of measurement)!

Turbo Owners -- What's your total mileage? [OFFICIAL MILEAGE THREAD]

I don't have fenders and the Almotions fit fine, no rubbing anywhere. I got my first flat when a screw went all the way into the middle of the tread (no tire could have prevent that, I think - just bad luck). When I fixed it, I noticed that there were two other places where glass had gotten into...

    Turbo (hub drive) metallic sound?

@jwb is this the noise you had and did lubricating the freehub fix it for you?

    Turbo (hub drive) metallic sound?

@Jan Hermanson any update? I have the same issue and can't figure out what it is. 1. Doesn't start making the noise at first, only after riding for a couple of miles. 2. Sounds like a rubbing/scraping that is tied to cadence (pedal speed). 3. Happens even when I'm standing (if pedaling fast)...

Turbo Owners -- What's your total mileage? [OFFICIAL MILEAGE THREAD]

Update as of Aug 2018 - I am hitting my stride this summer and would estimate 2,600 miles (2,400 on Strava but I don't log the 2-3 miles to/from BART). Loving my Turbo! Hey VADO OWNERS - I'm guessing there are now a few of you racking up some good mileage! I'd love to hear from you in this thread!

    Mission Control hopeless?

I have the app for my Turbo X and I use it at most once or twice a year. It really doesn’t do much and you aren’t missing out. Is there something you really wanted it for?

Experience with the Turbo Vado 3.0

I think “charge cycles” is pretty conservative. I have over 1300 miles on my current battery and I usually charge every 22 Miles (typical one-way commute). 1300/22 = 59 so I should be at 59 charge cycles, right? Well I just checked the official charge cycle count and I am only at 37 charge...
