    5000km Anniversary for SuperCharger 2

18months after posting this thread I’ve clocked over 10,000km on my SuperCharger on a frosty ride to the beach.! A good milestone on a great bike. (Precise spot where I hit 10,000km - nice little reserve. Great start to the weekend

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

I've been pretty careful with mine and when stored in the garage etc, it's always upright. The only time it's been on it's side is when I've had to camp in the middle of nowhere and nothing to lean it against. Most times I'll lean it against a bush or tree so it's pretty upright. I'm happy to...

extra large rear basket for mid/long tail cargo bike (for medium sized dog)

thanks DiggyGun - good to understand the versatility of MIK adaptor plate. They test rode the MultiCharger and think it's likely to be too heavy for them to transport around - back to the drawing board! Cheers Sam

Tubed vs Tubeless - what are you doing on your R&M?

Without removing the wheel? Did you take the outer tire off the bead and then pull the inner tube out and repair whilst still on the rim? I've never ever done that, but given my frustrations with getting the enviolo hub back up and running....

Tubed vs Tubeless - what are you doing on your R&M?

Thanks mate / yes off-road I’ll deflate pressure for sure and do this on my eMTB. For the work commute I prefer higher pressure / less rolling resistance and it was on roads I got most recent punctures. Replaced both front and rear tires (along with inner tubes) on Friday with new Super Moto X...

Tubed vs Tubeless - what are you doing on your R&M?

Like most of my bikes, I’ve only started getting punctures as tires wear down. They still have reasonable tread but I did 9000km without a single puncture. Had three (two were slow leaks to be fair) in the last 700km. Time for new tires

Tubed vs Tubeless - what are you doing on your R&M?

So this happened to me on my commute home yesterday: Instant deflation - was riding on the rim before I could even come to a full stop safely - not good! I'm running tubeless on my gravel bike and eMTB now and got me thinking about going tubeless on my SuperCharger 2. I have really liked the...

extra large rear basket for mid/long tail cargo bike (for medium sized dog)

Hi Team, You're the source of all knowledge. I posted a while back about transporting cargo bikes: (1) Transporting Cargo eBikes (specially Dutch style) | Electric Bike Forums - Q&A, Help, Reviews and Maintenance (electricbikereview.com) This was for my parents who are exploring new eBikes to...

Wiring 3rd Party Hardware Into Bosch Batteries

Thanks Brendan - I thionk this is will all be a Dealer job for me if I proceed with it, I was just curious around the process - if there are output plugs already on the motor for additional hardware that makes it easier for someone like DEaler to do this.

Wiring 3rd Party Hardware Into Bosch Batteries

Bosch ebikes motors have two output ports for driving lights. The cables are easy enough to buy from dealer or German sites like Bikediscount and bike24. There is no need to splice wires into battery terminals. Perfect - that's teh answer I was looking for

Wiring 3rd Party Hardware Into Bosch Batteries

Possibly - now that I think about it again, I have had the LBS do something similar to my wife's MultiCharger - as it was not a high speed model, the rear light was not connected to the brake level for a "brake light" effect. I chose not to replace the entire brake levers to achieve this, but...

Wiring 3rd Party Hardware Into Bosch Batteries

They want to take their dog in the front cargo box :) That's it! Re: splicing the cables - that's the heart my question... surely if there are cables provided for this type of functionality that are for the various battery manufacturers, this implies to me at least there must/may be some spare...

Wiring 3rd Party Hardware Into Bosch Batteries

Hey all, I watched a few videos on EuroBike 2023 and see there has been an explosion in the range and options of rear radar lights for bikes. I already own one and posted about it here: (1) Garmin Varia usage on eBikes | Electric Bike Forums - Q&A, Help, Reviews and Maintenance...

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

yeah that does suck - hoping seals have a reasonable life span!

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

No oil change, it's got about 2800km on it and is 9 months old. Great service from the LBS - they have an R&M Load in there at the moment that I saw on Saturday (getting a replacement ABUS key) and my parents are going to check it out tomorrow as a potential transporter for their dog!

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

Well the Rohloff was still working fine in my estimation, but I took it for. service because of the softeness in the rear brake - that was the trigger for the rohloff oil discovery. Frustrating, but will see if Rohloff do the right thing by me and repair it.

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

well.... bugger. Took my standard Rohloff speed hub powered gravel bike in for servicing today after some big bikepacking adventures - the rear brake was a bit soft. Feedback - the Rohloff has been leaking more than expected and covered the rear brake rotor, causing the softness in braking :(...

How is noise from the Bosch CX motor?

My SuperCharger 2 High speed has an audible noise - a slight “whine” but I don’t really hear it now. My wife’s Multicharger Mixte (non high speed) is definitely quieter. My Specialized Turbo Levo eMTB is virtually silent - it’s incredible.

Hypotheticals - would you replace your R&M with another R&M??

Awesome! Miss 19yrs is in her third year at UoO and Miss 17yrs plans to go there next year for health sciences, so plenty of excuses to come down and ride my bike! I didn’t realise that there was a ferry involved - I’m very excited now!
