    Took the CCX Plunge!

It is indeed odd. Maybe it's size or color availability? Maybe because I'm an hour away? It is shipping from Chula Vista but that wouldn't really matter in your case. And maybe it's like the Tesla Model 3. Good luck figuring out how they processed orders. We ordered one in June and received...

Cross Current bikes - can you remove the controller?

Yep, display is what I meant. And Yep, up all night. LOL

Cross Current bikes - can you remove the controller?

Don't think I've seen this addressed and read the online manual. Couldn't determine if the controller display is removable. I like that my Garmin devices can be popped off in a second and taken with me to prevent theft or in their case, for charging. From pictures it appears that the...

    Took the CCX Plunge!

Well, they must have had my size and color in stock and ready to go because it has been shipped and will be here TOMORROW. Here's to hoping that both wheels will be in the box and the battery will turn on. ;)

    Battery theft?

I asked this in another thread on the Juiced Bikes subforum. Those simple lock and key mechanisms on the batteries seem to me at best something to deter a kid from just taking your battery on a whim. I think a thief could just pop that in a few seconds and with some of these large batteries...

    Took the CCX Plunge!

Wow! I had thought it was something they could just ship out. Thank you posting this to level-set my expectations.

    Took the CCX Plunge!

I'm in Orange County. That would be a little above and beyond to hand deliver to me - especially with I-5 traffic!

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

You guys aren't losing your chain on the CCX are you? Maybe it's not really necessary on this bike.

    Took the CCX Plunge!

Thanks for answering all my lame questions. It helped me so much. I ordered a Large CCX in brushed aluminum this morning. Looks like they are shipped from Chula Vista and Tacoma, Washington. Since I'm in Southern California I'm sure hoping this one is in stock in Chula Vista. That's an hour...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

Yep, it's the lighting. Looks like flash was used on that particular picture and it's indoors. If you Google Juiced Brush Aluminum Cross Current and go to Images you'll get all kinds of pictures indoors, outdoors, night, day, etc. They all look very nice to me. They remind me of the old...

    1st long ride

Tora has said no to this question in a couple of YouTube videos. Might even be on their FAQ on their website. You can set the cruise to 20mph and use pedal assist to surpass that - but the moment you stop pedaling you'll drop back down to 20mph. There is no setting to change that limit.

    1st long ride

From Juiced's website under Real World Range your battery would get 54 miles under 20mph throttle-only riding. That's for 190 lbs (rider+payload), flat riding, no wind and warm and dry weather. So if you did half of your 37 mile ride at 20mph throttle-only that's 19 miles. Add in the fact...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

You gents are all correct! I pulled my measurements from a road bike professional fitting I had several years ago. My inseam is 34.5". I'm 6'1 and 3/4. All of the measurements of the large appear to fit me perfectly. And the gentleman that stated the only difference between the L and XL is...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

You bet. Looked at the Specialized Vado until I researched more and more. Too small of a motor. Researched mid vs hub drives. Looked at Pedego. Rode one in Hawaii (my only time on an eBike) and loved it but read so much about the Cruiser-style ride, lack of power and poor placement of the...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

Oh you guys are really tempting me into ordering that in-stock Large Brushed Aluminum instead of waiting three weeks! I noticed on the First Ride CCX video in China somebody asked Tora what size he was riding in the video and he said it was a Large. He said he normally rides an XL but this bike...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

I am. I contacted Juice. The new inventory is on the water and expected the first week of January. My road bikes are all 60cm frames. I don't think I could fit an 18" frame well.

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

6'2 with very long legs. I've never had a mountain bike in less than a 21" size and the Juiced XL is 20". I don't think it would work for me. Thanks for the reply though!

    Theft prevention with Purion

Don't underestimate your Homeowner's Policy! I have a very nice CAAD10 and was run over by a preoccupied teen. Destroyed the bike. The kid literally had nothing. No insurance. Lived with three roommates and had some very low-paying temporary job. I opened up a police report because I had...

Technically speaking A bat. Capacity is 40% less then advertised

I follow Tesla relatively closely. I think his comment was taken out of proportion. It was more like a stream-of-concious rambling where somebody asked him what else Tesla could make that is electric and he said something along the lines of "oh yeah, an electric bicycle. I think it would be...
