NBD Here is my Specialized Turbo Tero X 6.0

I need to make something similar to get a flat rack on mine. I feel like they left that off just to make it look more like a mountain bike. Extrapolating from your seat choice to your riding style, you might want to open up the front shock (you'll need a cassette lockring tool with no center...

It's Down to 2 Bikes, unless

Given his budget and the price of the Tero 3 he could make it easy by buying a Reverb AXS dropper. I bet you could pay LBS to install a cabled based one for less, though! Another option is to go with the Tero 3 step-through and get used to mounting the bike that way. Easier to use at the...

    Garmin Edge/Varia/Mastermind TCD Connection Issue

I think the firmware in the TCD is crashing and restarting. You're hitting a bug in the firmware. Your detailed description of the problem is excellent though, maybe Specialized will fix it. I'm a fairly new owner myself so I have no idea how often they improve these things.

It's Down to 2 Bikes, unless

I'm surprised the Powerfly 4 was a disappointment. On paper, it's more powerful than the Turbo Tero 3. Trek appears to put the same motor in all levels of Powerfly while Specialized scales the motor up with the trim level. I've ridden a Tero 3 and I own a Tero X 6 and you can definitely feel the...

Mission Control Customized Display Screens on Creo

I ran into that same scrolling problem. The issue is that only certain parts of the screen work for scrolling. If I remember right, you have to put your finger on one of the options to scroll (not just anywhere). I remember when I got my Tero X I finally figured out how to scroll reliably but...

    Ergonomic Grips

Not sure what you mean about the Ancheer without a picture, but Ergon does sell some of their grips in shortened versions to account for things like Enviolo shifters, so that might work for you.

Singlespeed, hub drive, torque sensor, under 40 lbs?

The fact that the firmware is crap and doesn't provide those numbers doesn't mean the controller isn't getting those signals. I've investigated the exact parts that go in a bottom bracket torque sensor and they output both. The firmware is at a huge disadvantage because it doesn't know what gear...

Singlespeed, hub drive, torque sensor, under 40 lbs?

Nothing to stop a hub motor bike from measuring torque at the bottom bracket and therefore also picking up cadence. The Aventure.2's torque sensor is in the bottom bracket. It just happens to have crummy firmware so it feels much less connected to the bike than a good mid-drive. Although still...

How to fill battery bolt holes on Specialized Creo after removing battery?

I have a 3d printer so I might try to 3d print a plug. But some tape would also work!

    I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0, AMA

Plot twist! "3/6" tokens meant "3 tokens installed from the factory". The other two are extra. I've had the right tool for a while but only opened it up just now (after noticing my max travel over the last few days was not as much as I would have expected). So now I need to go ride on bumpy...

What to compare Priority current to?

Battery capacity is weight, so "as light as possible but with at least 450WH" pretty much means "find a bike with a 450WH battery". It's no wonder the Priority Current is on your list -- it has a 500WH battery. You've pretty much ruled out the 625/710WH battery bikes and all of the "light" bikes...

    I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0, AMA

This afternoon I expended 3.6x the energy in one Clif Bar to throw the wrapper away in this very scenic trashcan 14.6 miles from my house. announcer voice: And I owe it all to SCHWALBE JOHNNY WATTS. Well, not really. But they are pretty nice. I wanted something with more solid center tread for...

Turbo Tero X 6.0 or R&M Delite GT Rohloff HD (7500$)

I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0 and a similar config Delite was on my short list. Some of my main objections to the Delite were: 2x the price for basically the same bike, and having to wait an unknown amount of time to special order it from Germany. For a $1k upcharge and immediate availability, I...

    Nasty decals

Goof-off and goo-gone are good products for dissolving adhesive. One is slightly more organic, and one is full of organic solvents. Make your choice and test on a small area to make sure it won't hurt your paint. The key is that it only dissolves the solvent. It doesn't destroy it. You need to...

    2000 miles on Ride1up 700 - what I learnt and what I want now

I agree a hub drive feels easier for city/road use, but I think that might be partly because it is just sloppy and generous with the power application. I wonder if "smoother" is actually in opposition to your feelings about middrive bikes, because I know Trek (from your list) is smoother than a...

Display problem, or hopefully just a glitch on Aventure

Did you specifically charge it up just before riding, or just take it out with whatever charge it had? After several months sitting it's unlikely it had 98% charge. It's possible you just fully drained the battery and the control electronics were confused.

    I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0, AMA

BTW a note about the grips: The specs say "Ergon, GA30" which is either a typo for "GA3" or some OEM-only variant of the GA3. These do not work well for large hands! They taper quite a bit to the inside. If you have large hands and you naturally grip them at a wider point to get more "meat" in...

    I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0, AMA

I was accused in another thread of lubing my bike chain with sand. Maybe not far from the truth? This is from one ride yesterday (just before washing! Don't kill me!) I am happy that the Muc Off dry lube doesn't turn that dust into a gunky mess like the wet version does if you have a few dry days.

$500-$1000 for an ebike vehicle rack? I Don't Think So...

This one has a threaded insert and the "pin" is threaded about halfway so you bolt one side of the tube to the mount. It's actually quite stable. It's just not super convenient to install or remove. There's a tool-free version but I probably would have had more trouble shortening it.
