    A and B trip odometers

I've seen weird things like that (but to be fair, I did not realize that B auto reset). I don't use those pages at all, I just record the rides with something else. These days I use one of the specialized apps because I also have a Specialized ebike.

Lock combo for Turbo Vado 4

I saw someone compare all three, and it looks like the order is X3 (strongest), D1000, X1 (weakest, but still better than any plain metal of similar thickness). I've seen the flex thing too, but it doesn't seem like an issue when the lock is used on a bike (because bike tubes are fat relative to...

Lock combo for Turbo Vado 4

I think that Abus cafe lock has an optional chain (with choker) if you want to stick with one system. I have a FoldyLock compact on my Aventure.2 (which is pretty chunky) and it works fine. When it's too short, it's because the thing I need to lock around is too big. For situations like that, a...

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

Semi-related, I got the "classic" Cat-Ears slim wind noise reducers. They really work. The only catch is that the inner surface has to touch your head, so in my case I had to adjust my helmet strap a bit tighter. I thought the fuzz might be irritating with sweat, but I don't feel them at all. I...

    New Spec App?

I just realized that the new app is _not_ saving heart rate data when recording rides. I'm set up the same way as before (HR paired to bike, visible on bike) but HR is not in the .fit file. I thought it was just unable to display it in the ride review, but it's actually not there at all. Other...

Tero X Fender Trim to Use on 1UP Hitch Rack

I've considered doing the exact same thing on mine. Not only to enable that style of rack, but also because I'd like to be able to stand the bike on the rear wheel in hike-a-bike areas where you can't stand beside the bike. Thanks for posting your results! This is one of several areas on this...

    Handlebar carry bag advice

Check out "feed bags" which usually hold one bottle and have some extra spots for things like phone, keys.

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

Goo Gone is only a solvent. You have to mechanically remove the glue with a rag or something once goo gone mobilizes it. Otherwise it will just evaporate and the glue will re-congeal.

Where can I buy an MINI insulated bike bottle?

It fits on my Tero X 6 with this Topeak Ninja Master+ SK+ (left handed) bottle cage (note handedness is backwards from what you expect because the cage is upside-down). It looks like the one recommended by @RobSC would be better because it holds taller bottles. The slight advantage of the Topeak...

Where can I buy an MINI insulated bike bottle?

I use the CamelBak Podium Dirt Series bottle on my Tero X 6. I really like the rubber cap because that bottle location catches a lot of dust on gravel. Insulation is just so-so in the bottle holder. I ended up adding a feed bag which adds a second bottle location and more insulation and it...

    Two E-bikes?

I bought an Aventure.2 first (you can see elsewhere here for my conclusions on that ;-) and then a Turbo Tero X 6.0. Nothing like buying a bike 3x as expensive to make you less concerned about locking up the cheaper bike at the grocery or the trailhead.

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

I think the summary is that both tube and tubeless tires might require maintenance: Tubeless tires will definitely require maintenance every 6 months or so in your garage. Tubes will randomly require maintenance on the side of the trail. For some people, the tradeoff is easy, because they ride...

Superdelite front wheel quick release axel

Based on how unscrewing it seems to be pushing the fork apart, it seems like the axle is stuck in the bearings. If I were you I'd thread it back in by just one or two threads, and then give the thread side of the fork a very light tap with a mallet. It's probably just crusty dirt that will pop...

Bye bye, cardboard boxes. Riese & Müller’s surprising new way to deliver e-bikes

For the prices they charge they could deliver it in a Pelican case. I was actually quite impressed with Aventon's packaging because it was 100% paper and recyclable. All of the ties inside the box were twisted strips of paper. It worked quite well. I never saw the packaging for my Specialized...

    New Spec App?

One plus of the new app: When combining "auto pause" and "keep screen on", the old app used to keep the screen on until the first pause (like a stoplight) and then while the recording was paused, the screen would blank, and it would not come back on. With the new app, the screen actually stays on.

    Garmin Radar Tether

That seems like worst case: The one model that has no light, and (apparently) a head unit that doesn't complain if it disconnects. I doubt I could lose my 515 off my Tero X because it would beep at me when it lost connection and then I'd find it blinking in the ditch.

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

No, it's the air rushing over your ears. Those types of products just secure to the strap to block the direct path of air to your ear. The fuzz is to avoid creating new noises.

    New Spec App?

I connect my HR strap to the bike and the app records it from the bike just fine. I also have a page on my TCD that is speed/rider power/heartrate. I recorded a ride today with the new app. It did upload to Strava automatically but didn't mention it anywhere. That's okay with me. Too bad about...

Is Vado Step Through truly a “Step Through “

Makes the seat go up and down like an office chair. Not sure if @PedalUma is making a joke that's going over my head, but install can be very easy if you buy a wireless one. The cost difference is offset by the fact that you can easily self-install.

Replaced cassette after 1300 miles Vado 4.0

Are you keeping track of your chain wear? If you let the chain wear build up it puts uneven load on the teeth of the cassette until it wears them down to match the chain.
