    Tero X 5.0 quality

I just hit 1000 miles on mine so I will enjoy the headlight while I still can. I swapped the bell for an Oi Luxe (don't get the cheap one) to make room for innerbarends so the old one definitely can't fall off. The sacrificial bit of the kickstand does keep getting loose. I should really remove...

    Orbea Gain M30 - have I made a mistake?

Oh, I looked at the numbers and saw 50T and 32T and just made MTB assumptions about which was which without reading the text next to them.

    Orbea Gain M30 - have I made a mistake?

This shouldn't happen even if the motor is quite weak. With a front derailleur and a rear cassette that goes to 50t, that bike has some really low gears. I could believe your hill climb would be "annoyingly slow" but there's no way you should outright run out of torque with that gearing available.

    New Spec App?

I think "auto-start" and "auto-pause" were the same thing? I manually start with both apps and use their respective settings to auto-pause, and it works fine. Beware the new app has a few ride recording specific settings in a ... menu only available from the recording page. I think the new app...

Battery Range Experience for Specialized E-Bikes

Yes, Turbo Tero X 6.0, 710Wh. I think my ECO is default (35/35). If I messed with anything it's trail, it might be 70/100 instead of 70/70? I will check when I'm back at the bike. For a ride on Sunday (32mi, 1033'): The average motor power * moving time = 267Wh, and 710 * battery used = 277Wh...

Battery Range Experience for Specialized E-Bikes

On my Tero X I ride in Trail (which I think I have set to 70/70) a little at the start of each ride usually (big hill right at the foot of my driveway) and then a mix of eco-trail to the place I want to ride and a mix of eco/microtune-10%/off on the actual trail. Usually on the return when I...

Bike lock on my Tero X... found one that fits lower bracket!

By the way, I can confirm that you can just barely lock the rear wheel to the main frame with this lock (if you can't lock it to something and want to make it very hard to move or ride). I recommend starting with the lock body upside down so the key ends up in a better spot. I've hit some...

Turbo Vado 5.0: What tire pressure do you run?

Most people I see who are riding ebikes that look like bikes are riding like normal people (or, as you say, slower than road cyclists). But the ones that get the attention are riding "ebikes" like the Surron and are going way too fast for a mixed-use path. And these days, e-scooters and those...

    I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0, AMA

It's not a bad saddle. It just so happens that I am fat and big boned (wide sitbones) so I like the flatter, wider SQLab saddle because it distributes the load more (still to the bones). Only downside is that it's got very little padding so it can be less comfortable if you aren't using any kind...

    I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0, AMA

I ride a mix of streets, paved (but often bumpy) paths, hard packed gravel, loose gravel, and dirt. Overall my mix is probably 25% road, <10% loose/chunky gravel, and the rest is a mix of paved trails of various quality and packed gravel. There's noticeably less rolling resistance on paved...

Lighter alternatives to Cube Hybrid One 625? (Europe)

Will it fit if you stand it up on its rear wheel? I'm tall so I just stand next to the bike holding the handlebars, grab the rear brake, and walk backwards. But I have seen people use walk assist (same setup, just stay still and push walk assist until the bike pulls itself up enough for you to...

Creo power level on Garmin is rider only

If you record rides with one of the Specialized apps, you can get rider power and motor power both. You might be able to access motor power as another parameter somewhere in the garmin (depending on how customizable it is)

    New Spec App?

I hope that's not what broke the display/recording of power data. Looks like I auto-upgraded to 1.3. I see the release notes say "riders may be prompted to re-add their bike to the app" so I might do that deliberately to see if it fixes the problem. Poking around, I see 1.3 also added import...

    New Spec App?

Went for a ride last night and the app didn't know about power output (for live stats or recording). If that's going to be intermittent that's a big bummer.

    Turbo Tero X 4.0 Class 3 Upgrade?

The Turbo Tero X 4.0 is a class 3 bike. There was a super early marketing slide that showed otherwise.

Vado sl 4.0 eq battery used by lights?

An LED bike light is probably around 2 watts, so with a 320 watt hour main battery, you could leave the light on for about six and a half days on a full charge. Or to put it another way, on a 4 hour ride, it will use 2.5% of your battery life. (these numbers could be off by a factor of two...

Turbo Vado 5.0: What tire pressure do you run?

There are lots of tire pressure calculators. This one is from SRAM: https://axs.sram.com/guides/tire/pressure but you can google lots of others The range on the sidewalls is extreme..

Turbo Vado SL with Rohloff mod? New 1.2 motor?

Depending on what you want from Rohloff you could also consider SRAM Transmission in there

Too hot for me (and e-bikes)!

One thing I really like about pedal assist is that I can use it to go fast enough to get my own breeze whenever I need one. I'm definitely not a warm weather person, but I can tolerate a lot more on a bike than on foot in the same situation! I realize it every time I come to a stop in an...

New Turbo Tero X 6.0 pannier bag?

I have joined team Ortlieb Gravel Pack, even though it required a trip to REI. Interesting idea from this video to replace the stock orange strap with a Voile strap (cut in half and then secured with the original hardware).
