    Outfitting the Dash E3 (minimum)

I haven't seen the 2014 Marathon Plus 700x45 available anywhere yet. Even the Schwalbe site lists that size as out.

The Dash has restored my biking enthusiasm

Oh, I understand. I haven't tried riding without any assist, but this is an important point you bring up. I remember watching a Path+ (Dashes little brother) review where the drag from the motor was described as minimal. When I go riding later on today I will give it a try.

The Dash has restored my biking enthusiasm

Welcome to the world of the Dash. You are going to love riding this bike. I'm not quite sure what your question is but the pedaling effort can go from you doing all the work to the Dash doing all the work. For me I select the minimal amount of Pedal Assist I need, because I want to get...

New "Flat-Less" Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres for 2014

MarcD is correct. In matching tires and tubes to rims it is important to use the Bead Seat Diameter (622mm). The 700C (27.6"), 28", and 29" all refer to the tires outside diameter. As long as the bike has frame and fender clearance, the tire width fits the rim width, and the BSD is 622mm, all...

The Dash has restored my biking enthusiasm

For many years I rode recumbents and while they were fun to ride, the hills were always brutal. What a chore trying to balance a bike at 3-4mph while pedaling uphill in granny gear. Later, I bought a comfort bike hoping I could stand and pedal up the hill. For some reason, that standup...

    E3 Dash Fenders

Brian(J), Great job. I actually think I like your way of doing things better. The front mount is simpler and easier way, which is always good. The back mount kind of hides the bracket underneath, making it look like a cleaner install. Isn't it great how well the sizing of the 29er fenders fit...

Sun Tour NCX SP-12 Suspended Seatpost on my Dash

I see there are a couple on ebay. However, they are more expensive and the US one is only 27.2mm so you would need to get a 27.2 to 31.6 shim. Personally, I would wait a bit and see if xxcycle gets them back in stock...

Sun Tour NCX SP-12 Suspended Seatpost on my Dash

I got mine from xxcycle.com in France. The price was $74 and took 4 days to get from France to Eugene, OR. I used PayPal to purchase. I just checked my link to the seatpost and it looks like they are out of stock. Here's the links to the items I purchased...

    Dash handlebars raised

I'm no expert on bicycle parts, but I took apart the adjustable part to see how it worked and it looks strong to me. XLC vs OEM Matte finish vs Shiny black Silver painted screws vs Chrome or SS Here's their website. Take a look. The model I bought was the 110mm, 1 1/8", 31.8mm

New "Flat-Less" Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres for 2014

Thanks, I did see this before, but I was confused because when I tried to select 700-45, the size was grey colored. I see now that the 700-45 is available under the 3rd style. Apparently, the 700-45 is a slightly different style, all black with no reflective. Interesting. Or perhaps they are all...

    Dash handlebars raised

I bought my adjustable stem off ebay for about $21. If you get this stem, you will need to add a 2 to 4mm of 1 1/8" spacer. This stem is about 3mm shorter than our oem stem.

New "Flat-Less" Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres for 2014

I would love to get a set of these 2014 Marathon Plus HS 440 tires, but the 47-622 700 x 45C for the Izip Dash are pretty hard to find right now and they are out of stock at the Schwalbe website.

    Mirrors

I got my mirrycle bike mirror today in the mail. Installed it and went for a ride. It works great. I love that you can easily swing the mirror to the inside for going thru doorways. One does have to pay attention to cars looking farther away than they are because this is a convex mirror.

    Dash handlebars raised

When I first rode the IZIP Dash, I knew I would be more comfortable if the handlebars were slightly higher and closer. However, my first look at the cables made it seem like a difficult task without replacing some cables. Fortunately, with a little cable rearrangement I was able to raise the...

Sun Tour NCX SP-12 Suspended Seatpost on my Dash

Yes, the picture of the seat mounted on the bike is my new Dash. No, I've just had it a couple of days and only been on a couple of rides. Just like I enjoyed sharing pictures of my new Cascadia 29er fenders because they worked out so well, I just wanted to share my new seatpost with the group.

Sun Tour NCX SP-12 Suspended Seatpost on my Dash

I really love this seat post. It rides really well. I got the 31.6mm version along with the heavier spring that supports 220 to 264 lbs. There's an adjustment on the seat post bottom to fine adjust the spring. It appears to be made really well. The pins and frame are all solid with brass...

Will schwalbe big Bens tires work 4 ezip dash?

Those would work also. They are 50-622 29x2.00 , so they would fit the Dash. And they come in colors too!
