    CCX intermittent power

Got my CCX battery back yesterday after a bit over 2 weeks and swapped stuff back from CC to take it out on a ride today. No power cuts in 10 miles.

    Will pitlock fit for CCX?

You'll need to add the "Quick Release Seat-Post Binder Bolt" which uses a 5mm hexlock to replace the quick release . For the saddle it looks like the Body Floats uses 6mm bolts (https://cirruscycles.com/collections/kinekt-post-accessories/products/seat-clamp-bolt-assembly) to so 6mm inserts for...

    CCX intermittent power

I just shipped my battery out to Juiced because according to them the issue is with the female connector. Wish there was an advance exchange option, but at least I still have my original CC which has a bad rear wheel but is now working with the CCX wheel.

    Will pitlock fit for CCX?

Doesn't answer to your question about pitlocks, but I wanted an antitheft solution for my front wheel, seatpost, saddle, & stem, & went with these guys https://hexlox.com/ I don't know how well they work though since I don't leave the bike locked up outside for any extended period of time.

Fitting water bottle on medium CCX & extending rear light - 3D printing

Therre are 3d printing services online maybe even through the site I put the files on. And you might have local places that can do the same. Prints in under an hour shouldn't cost much.

    CCX intermittent power

I don't really remove the battery unless I need to service the bike so not often.

    CCX intermittent power

Yea I think this is still usable with your first suggestion. Looking at the wear it's appears that only the tip touches which seems really odd. It's got me thinking if the male pins got pushed in? Taking out in the inner o-ring wasn't quite the fix for me. I notice that I do have excessive...

    CCX intermittent power

Welp I've run into this problem now. Clear signs of arcing on the contacts. And since my headlight is activated immediately whenever the controller gets power it's easy to tell that the problem is mechanical since tapping at the battery can get to turn on temporarily. Will post some pics later.

    To "Juice" or not ?

I don't recall seeing this so I'm not sure my CCX is registered. I don't see much of a point though since they sell direct so they have all original owner info already. I know I got close to $1000 in replacement parts with my 2016 CC within the 1st year. Hopefully won't have the same issues with...

    CCX intermittent power

Ther were many problems along the way that may be would be less with a top tier brand. But I felt I got enough value out of it to come back with a CCX. The zip tie is just a suggestion in place of Velcro. I kept it near the top where the connection is. Gave it enough slack so I could slide it...

    CCX intermittent power

I have have around 2,000 miles on my CCX so far & fortunately have not experienced this yet. I know the feeling though because my original Cross Current from 2016 eventually developed a connection problem while on the 2nd battery. I got over 18,000 miles out of the bike before it was retired. It...

CCX Watch Your Rear Chainstay Wiring.

My shoes were rubbing against the cables while peddling. It rubbed a flat spot onto the plug for the motor. If I didn't catch it then it possibly could've worn down to the male plug compromising the connection.

CCX Watch Your Rear Chainstay Wiring.

Didn't realize this was happening until a recent tire swap for spring. My boots were making contact with the wheel connector & wearing it down. Fortunately damage seems to be only cosmetic. Rerouted the wiring so now it's to the inside with the...

    CCX Spoke Replacement Instructions/Tips

After over a 1000 miles I had noticed one loose spoke (drive side) on my CCX. No breakage yet, but the wheel could use a tension check & some truing. With the park tension gauge IIRC the drive side was 30-32 & other side was 25-27.

Fitting water bottle on medium CCX & extending rear light - 3D printing

Cool. I'm not sure how to get CAD to translate to the layout I prefer in the slicer, but I designed it with the intent to be printed horizontally (nicer finish & no supports needed). I'm no engineer, but it feels like it would be stronger. So I'd be interested in how that holds up for you. Yep...

Fitting water bottle on medium CCX & extending rear light - 3D printing

Thanks. Just signed up so in 24 hours it should be available. This is like a 3rd or 4th revision & I've only used it about 2 weeks, but I think it'll hold up since the light doesn't weigh much. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3460788

Fitting water bottle on medium CCX & extending rear light - 3D printing

The top stem cap is a good mounting point. There are better solutions for usability, but I also wanted to try to keep as much of the slick looking CCX esthetics as possible.

Fitting water bottle on medium CCX & extending rear light - 3D printing

The positioning of the mounts are useless so designed and 3d printed an offset bracket to use with a lezyne side load bottle holder. Fits a 12oz insulated laken therm bottle. I don't know how well this will hold up to repeated use though. Also came up with something to extend the rear light...

    New Headlight Installed

I'm sure it could be wired in somehow, but they do make self contained battery powered versions of these lights too. Well I did break down & used public transit when there was an accumulating snowstorm & also during the -40+ windchill days. And yes very aware of dooring, but video is...

    New Headlight Installed

I use Schwalbe Marathon Winters with studs & it handles ok in snow with a low enough tire pressure. I can't go as low as would be ideal for fear of pinch flats & I suspect a mid drive would handle better in snow.
