    Greetings from Aberdeen Scotland

Welcome to the forum! Nice looking bike you have there. (I've got the same panniers, and I'm very happy with them.) I'm not quite "feeling" those yellow pedals though. Perhaps if you added something else yellow, maybe near the front it might balance out better. In the old days we would have...

Just look backwards in this same thread! The answer is already here.

    Front Braking Problem

I didn’t use the tension gauge to tension the spokes. At least not blindly. I used it just to identify grossly out of norm spokes for each side. And I just realized that I didn’t use the gauge after I’d finished... I just put the wheel back on the bike and tried it. Pretty much perfect now...

    Front Braking Problem

Just to put this thread to bed... I got my spoke tension gauge and truing stand and with less than an hour of work the bike is fine again. The reason the front wheel tilted to the left (disc brake side) when braking was because the spoke tension was way off. The wheel spun true but because so...

Chain keep falling off the crank - Giant Explore E3 - 2019

But what was the problem? What did the guy adjust? And as far as the creaking, many of us have had it, but at least in my case just tightening everything up solved it.

    Problem with latest firmware update

I suspect a wiring issue. Last fall, shortly after I got my bike, I too had problems with the rear light not coming on. Which model bike do you have? I have an Explore E+1 GTS with fenders. I traced all the wiring and found there was power right up to the first/front connector on the rear...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

Congratulations!!!!! Good for you! Not an easy job to do, especially the first time. I'm sure you are correct in that the large frame size was a help. My bike has a small frame size (I have short legs) and there are some reinforcing obstructions in the tubes and there was no way I was able...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

That does look different than mine does. But you don't actually REMOVE the motor... the bolt that is furthest back should just be loosened a bit and then used as a pivot point so that the motor swings down and out of the way. Could there be some kind of screw on the top from the frame side...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

It's not an easy job, that's for sure... especially if you've never done it before. I'm not quite sure if your removal tool is the right one. The one I have is this one. If you look at the description and the photos of it, you'll see that it has a thin end piece and a thick one. You choose...

Chain keep falling off the crank - Giant Explore E3 - 2019

Original chain... I was hoping you'd replaced the chain with perhaps one a few links too long. Chain stretch? I kinda doubt it could be that bad. You didn't answer if you have a bike stand or not. I'd get the bike up on a stand so that you could turn the cranks quickly by hand and try...

Chain keep falling off the crank - Giant Explore E3 - 2019

Strange! And especially strange on the photo you supplied... the chain looks like it's so loose that it's come right over the pedal. Is this the original chain? When you say it's fine when you're not on the bike, do you mean when the bike is just sitting there :) or when up on a bike stand...

Hey everyone I just bought a ebike!! It’s a Stereo hybrid 140 from Cube. Just wondering if anyone has any views on Cube?

Welcome! Kinda funny though, that you announce you've just bought that bike and NOW you're asking opinions about it. Shouldn't you have asked what people thought before buying it (or any bike)? :) Looks gorgeous though. Ride it in good health!

    Hello I Have Many ?????

I really can't help you with your build questions, but did you see there is a dedicated DIY forum here? I'm sure you'd get help and advice if you post there. I have a pre-built e-bike so my knowledge of kits is very limited but I thought you really need to do a lot of checking of the bike you...

    Guten Tag and Aloha!

Welcome to the forum! Cool that you're working in Germany. Were you there during the pandemic and lockdown? Must have been tough, especially being away from home. That's a very well respected brand of e-bike you got... Is it restricted in speed as most (all?) European bikes are? If so...

    Hello I Have Many ?????

Welcome! Have you been riding a bike for awhile or are you just going to start with your project? I guess you already have a regular bike that you will be using? Will you be buying some kind of kit or will you be building it entirely on your own? You've looked at the pre-built e-bikes...

    Front Braking Problem

Thanks for pointing that out. But on the non-rotor side, the difference in spoke tension among those spokes is quite a bit also. I am very surprised that my wheel had been turning so true. In any case, I'm sure I will improve it. First step will be to put it on the new truing stand and see...

    Front Braking Problem

Further update... Believe it or not, after searching and searching, I was unable to find my wheel truing stand. (Old age.) It's years since I've used it and it should be somewhere in my garage but I just couldn't find it. And then I started thinking that even if I could find it, it might not...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

Is yours a 2020 model? I have a 2019 Explore E+1 GTS (no Pro in the name) and it was the last 2019 with small frame size in all of Canada. It's a real shame that Giant doesn't sell the new E+1 in North America as it's got really great components and features. On mine, once I got the crank...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

Yes, the red one in the middle. You do NOT need to open the ones circled in blue. Those would be only if you're changing the chain rings. Don't worry about asking "silly" questions!!!!! We all do it! :) And the folks here won't laugh either. We've all had to start somewhere. Remind me...

    Front Braking Problem

I have some Park Tools and they are superb. I was all set to buy the Park Tool tension meter, but none of the local bike shops have one. Amazon (Canada) wants $128 for it, plus $10 shipping, but the deal breaker for me was that estimated delivery was listed as July 31 to Aug 13. I just can't...
