    Confusion on trail rules?

I was just thinking that too. In highly regulated California, I've never been bothered by anyone for riding anywhere I choose. And it doesn't hurt that it's been in the low 80's F all week. I've gotten in a couple of good rides so far this week. I rode past the local petrol station and was...

    Should wearing helmet be optional?

Knee and elbow protection, and a helmet on a bicycle, and full riding gear (jacket, pants, boots, and gloves along with a full coverage helmet) on a motorcycle for me.

Why Do E-bikes Get More Flats Than Motorcycles?

Spoon on a M/C tire and a bicycle tire, and the reason will be immediately obvious. I did my e-bike tire with just my hands, no spoons needed.

    Should wearing helmet be optional?

This guy could have used a full face helmet of some kind. Smashed his face good on the bulls head.

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

And these, in Buster Brown shoes. They emitted high level, poorly shielded x-rays to view your feet while wearing your new shoes to assure a good fit. That was a nice toy to keep the kids occupied while mom paid for the new shoes.

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

Here's my last ride of 2021 most likely. It was a good one. After some welcome SoCal rain, the sky cleared and I made a dash to the bike and took off.

What Precautions do You Take When Riding in Remote Locations?

Where I ride a lot, we have black bears and fortunately they seem terrified of humans and usually are gone as soon as they become aware of my presence, but the one predator I keep a wary eye out for is the mountain lions that are more plentiful than most realize. Beautiful animals, and although...

    Protecting Downtube Battery Contacts

I use these. They're from a heavy duty spring clamp, soft cover for the jaws. They always slipped off the clamps and were useless for that purpose. I threw them in a coffee can and came across them last summer, and were surprised that they were a perfect fit.

    Indicator lights on e bike

It's probably different in Europe where bikes for transportation are more common place, but I've found the vast amount of cagers here in California at least, have no idea what I'm doing when I use hand signals on my bicycles. Some just think I'm waving to them and wave back to me, others think...

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

I bet Harley will bail on their e bike, just like they bailed on their e motorcycle, on the V-rod, the Buell sport bike line and soon probably their adventure bike the Pan American as well. They always seem revert back to their archaic paint shaker.

So what's your other hobbies or interests?

Okay, I'll start, I'm an amateur radio operator, commonly known as "ham" radio, and I also like to cook and especially bake. I do lots of outdoor activities as well, in addition to biking I also hike, kayak in the lake, as well as surf fishing in the SoCal Pacific ocean, a lot in the Ventura...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

I think the problem with that type of logic, it leaves out the fact that as unvaxed people get sick, the virus mutates, and then moves on to others, and in short order a new variant of the virus will emerge and find a vaxed person and will be able to evade the original vaccine, and infect a once...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

Yep, like I posted earlier, how's this even a debate? Your mashed up helmet, would have been your head. Common sense, gloves protect hands, and a helmet protects your melon.

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

Suffice to say, even though you got run over by a car at speed, the safety gear you had on did it's job. It might have been different had you not been appropriately attired. I spent a lot of years on the LA freeways including the piece of I-5 you speak off. I think the 405 was the most...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

I'm a big believer in body amour for my motorcycle riding too. I look down at the tarmac whizzing by at 60 MPH or faster I shiver to think what would happen if I went down and slid along just wearing a T shirt and shorts. I suit up for every ride. Elbow and knee pads would be welcome for a...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

I've been using these hi-viz yellow colored helmets for awhile now, both on my MC's and bicycle helmets. The color does seem to shock the cagers out of there distracted, zombie like state. Purely anecdotal, but they seem to make a big difference in visibility, I see drivers look away and then...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

How is this even a debate? Logic and science dictate that helmets are the most important piece of safety gear a person can use when on two wheels.

    Rad power EU, poor experience.

I had the same poor customer support experience from Rad as well, but luckily for me I figured it out before I hit the buy button. I was asking simple pre order availability questions and they took at least a week to respond and often never addressed my question. I thought if the order...
