Are E-Bikes Safe For Young Teenagers?

Ha, cool, a real moped, I always wanted one of those, still do in fact. Here's me in the 70's on a Honda, a few years later I bought a used Yamaha RD350. What freedom that bike brought me. 50 years later and I still ride bicycles and motorbikes.

Are E-Bikes Safe For Young Teenagers?

Kids are licensed to drive 5000 pound cars, so how can a 16 Y/O be denied an e-bike. Lots of pros, exercise habit, outside and face not buried in a phone, meet other riders and actually talk face to face, etc. If the kid is responsible, follows basic rules and is courteous to the pedestrian...

    Drug driving

Most drugs should be decriminalized or made to be completely legal, I personally don't use drugs except a pint or two on occasion, but free citizens should do as they like if it doesn't hurt or bother others. Stay home and get stoned, so what's it to me? No driving under the influence though...

Total e-bike ban after a fatality in Key Biscayne, FLA

How about this, to ride a motorized bicycle period, you must have a driver's license and a helmet. Children turned loose on e-bike is asking for trouble. Seems reasonable to me.

E-bike user survey: charging pattern and market perspective

I read through these survey questions, without giving any answers, it looks like a marketing survey to me. Not interested in this one or the other survey recently posted here.

Question about brakes on any/ all bicycles with rim or disc brakes

I've been riding MC's since about 1974, I still do. I've had early Brit bikes and Bultacos that had the shifter and rear brake on the opposite sides that are the norm in the USA. The E-bikes opposite brake levers are just what happens in a global world I guess. I just adapt. I think it is...

Do you have the Hailong battery connectors?

4, fits as though it was made for the purpose.

Do you have the Hailong battery connectors?

I use this for mine. They are spring clamp protectors for the jaws of the clamp. I always pull them off the clamps as they tend to slip, but they fit the connector perfectly.

    Got pulled over by cop.

He could have educated you, scolded you, written you a ticket, etc, but the apparent lack of control and his screaming at you shows me what's wrong with policing these days. Imagine where this could have gone if you had "lipped off" at him.

Unsolicited comments about your ebike lately?

I ride motorcycles and get lumped in with the loud pipe, incessant revving at a stoplight Harley crowd. I've owned over 50 motorcycles over the years and never owned a Harley or any kind of modified exhaust. Whisper quiet is what I like and I treat the cage drivers with respect.

Unsolicited comments about your ebike lately?

Where I live, no one gives a rats ass. I leave them alone and the public at large do likewise. I do say hi to folks and smile, etc. Not everything has to be a confrontation. Anyway, it works for me.

Modifying my Rad Trike for my particular physical limitations

I had a k75 for a couple of years, and a Honda st-1100, both good bikes. I guess I've owned more than 50 bikes since the early 1970's.

Modifying my Rad Trike for my particular physical limitations

I was up 13 bikes at one time, but the registration and insurance was getting too expensive. I really like guzzi's and am thinking of buying a V7 Special next. I wonder if there are any airheads in the stable. I've had lots of them. Cheers.

a little hot on the ride home.

I'm the same way. Mad dogs and Englishmen in the noon day sun. Of course I'm a native SoCal person, so I think I'm acclimated to the heat. The recent rain from Hillary brought the high temp to 65 F on Saturday, and I was a bit chilly.
