    Commute is ~15km each way, but on the way in, the last 1.5km is a 6-8% hill. I've done it for years on my hybrid...but am tired of showing up to work a sweaty mess on hot summer mornings. Lol

    Good points thanks. Ya I'm looking for a pure a-b commuter. The low maintenance aspect is appealing, but yea, salad spinner for speed and I do have a decent hill in my commute (though in the Electric Bike Report YouTube it did tackle their 'Hell Hole Hill's decently).

    Thanks Rome. Yea, it's a commute that I'm really familiar with, and does include some shoulder riding in debris. My 700c hybrid has been totally capable. Before that my Giant Iguana hardtail with road tires. The Giant has been relegated to a camping/campground/bombing around town with the kids...
