    New Voltbike Elegant Step-through 26"x2.1"

I look forward to this, but hope the step-through design is not too "nerdy". I just really want a "normal" looking bike... regular tire size, non-foldable, stealthy geared hub motor, 48v, and lighter weight that is readily available to Canadians, and not too expensive. Even without suspension...

    A lightweight folding bike.

You may need to get fenders and/or really waterproof all the electronics. Nice build!

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

I just really love my Voltbike Yukon 750, and try to understand it as much as possible, but I have no skill in electronics, hacks, mods, etc. I would just say that going faster than 32km/h will not be very useful very long. The pedal cadence will not be able to keep up comfortably for long. I...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

Looks like Voltbike updated the description again. It now reads "(For Canadian consumers top speed limited to 32km/h... )". They no longer mention the 500W limit:

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

Wow, that looks pretty complex. Not something I would even consider tinkering. Good to know we have a resident tinkerer willing and knowledgeable to mod it! With your knowledge, can you speculate how the motor was "limited to 500w" for Canadians? I am in Canada and was wondering whether it...

    Citizen FRISCO 20" Folding E-Bike

Have you considered this instead: http://www.voltbike.ca/voltbike-urban/voltbike-urban-black.html This is an updated version, but Court has reviewed the previous model. It includes a rack, full fenders, suspension fork, bigger 350W motor, 20 mph, 45 lbs, and a bigger 36v 10Ah battery... for...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

I have around 1,000 km on my Yukon 750 already. My typical rides are 40 - 60 km, therefore I drain my battery in one outing (ie. no multiple rides per charge). From my experience, the battery indicator: 5 Bars: 100% (700w possible) 4 Bars: 60% (600w possible) 3 Bars: 30% (500w possible) 2...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

Can these "Topgun" suspension forks be modded to be less stiff? I am not a heavy guy, and would like it to be softer. Perhaps it can be opened and the spring can be shortened at little? Has anyone thought about it?

    Rad Mini an Upright?

One thing I don't like about fat tires is that it gets too much attention (all positive so far for me), but I still prefer less attention and more stealth on an Ebike.

    Rad Mini an Upright?

Have you considered the Voltbike Urban also? It was just refreshed with a new foldable design and aluminium wheels. Weaker motor and smaller battery (compared to Mini and Mariner) but much lighter (45lbs), *new front suspension fork* and only US$1,049! It also includes full fenders and rack...

    Rad Mini an Upright?

The Voltbike Mariner includes a suspension seat post for your needs. It also has full fenders and rack, which I really like because it has a convenient spring clamp. I may start riding with a light jacket, and when it gets hot, I can easily stow it under the spring clamp.

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

I just noticed that Voltbike.ca updated the description of the Yukon 750 to say that it is a 750W motor, but for Canadians, it is "limited" to 500W to comply with Canadian regulations.

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

@america94, my Yukon 750 has shown 800W, 850W and even 900W on occasions. I assumed they were glitches, because most of the time it shows around 500-650w IF I let the motor do all the work. However, my riding style is mostly pedal assist, so my wattage is very low in the 100-200W range. I do...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

No, I never heard back from @Voltbike . However, on the Bestbuy.ca (where the Yukon 750 Limited is also sold), the "Details & Specs" shows: "Motor Power 500w rated (750w peak)"...

New tires and rotating tires on Rad Rover

I should add that I don't carry many gear and I am not a heavy person when I ride at 7-10 psi.

New tires and rotating tires on Rad Rover

I have 1,000 kms on my Voltbike Yukon 750, which is similar the Radrover. I run my fat tires at 7 PSI on gravel, trails and asphalt. My wear is almost exactly same as Mr. Gold's. I tried running higher 15 PSI (to reduce rolling resistant), but the ride was really harsh, with very little gain...

    Efforts At Replacing A Battery

I believe 18650 cells is the "sweetspot" in terms of price / quality. It is one of the most popular standard for many applications, which keeps the price low. If you had to source other cells, I think the price will be much higher for the same quality.
