    2017 Voltbike Urban

The folding and the weight is manageable, but don't expect it to be quick and easy. Because the bike is 53 lbs, it does take a bit of effort to fold. I would not want to fold and carry it up stairs daily. Below, I took it with me on a vacation. The folding works great for this purpose:

Any Colt owners, a quick question.

@Kelly @ CitrusCycles.ca Do you have a picture of the new black version? I didn't like the grey or the white, but would be interested in a black. Thanks.

Bike Rack (Fat eBikes with Fenders welcomed)!

Update: I have been using this setup to carry my Yukon 750 many months now, and it has held up great. No issues. I sometimes feel that because it "hangs" from the top tube, it is more stable over bumps. When I am away from my bike, I simply secure the bike to the rack with my Abus Bordo...

    2017 Voltbike Urban

I just ordered the Voltbike Urban. I already own the Voltbike Yukon 750, but wanted something casual, light and compact. This is the new 2017 model with the spokeless "mag" wheels. CAD$1,299 +$49 shipping (US$1,059). I'll post some thoughts when it arrives, as there is no reviews anywhere on...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

@ace20ri for the calculator, I used: Tire diameter= 29" Speed = 33 mph Differential ratio = 1* RPM = compute to 382 rpm * Gearing does not matter since it is a HUB motor, and the motor is always spinning 1:1 with the wheel. @ace20ri What is your modded max speed on a flat, windless day on...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

Wow, that is amazing! 33 mph must be at the upper limits for the Bafang Geared HUB motor. Using an online calculator, the motor will be spinning at 382 RPM @ 33 mph.

I like your tight rear fender. It is close to the tire and hardly noticeable.

Known Issues & Problems with Voltbike Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

@gcoop If you full throttle when the battery is low (around 2 bars), the motor will cut out temporarily. This is normal. The controller cuts power to protect the battery. When you PAS, the throttle isn't working as hard, which explains why don't notice the power cutoffs with PAS. Tests you...

    Waiting for a delivery...

Thanks @TTT On my (1st edition) Yukon 750, "48V x 10.4Ah" is on that white sticker barcode. Looks like it is not there anymore. Good to know that George confirmed it is now upgraded to 11.6Ah. Enjoy your bike.

Thanks @Joe EE I think if you remove the battery, the sticker is at the bottom part, hidden inside the bike frame.

    Waiting for a delivery...

@Joe EE Very nice! Love the matte black. Can you please read the sticker on your battery to confirm the voltage and amperage? I've read that Voltbike is now shipping 48V 11.6Ah batteries (instead of 48V 10.4Ah). Looks like you are in the U.S.? How was your shipping and total cost...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

@gcoop I usually just bring 1 (but sometimes up to 3) Abus folding locks, depending on my ride. Each lock weighs 2 lbs. Multiple locks allow options. Either daisy chain for extra length, or multiple locks for extra protection. Here is my post with pictures...

    Teo fat bike

Throttle Issue: This is perhaps my first criticism of the Teofatbike, and I don't mean offend anyone. There is definitely a lot of excellent features and tremendous value for the Teo, but having to turn the crank for 1.5 turns to enable the throttle would be a deal breaker for me. Even more...

    Help Me Choose A Fat Tire Ebike - RadRover / Yukon / M2S / Hype / ETC

Personally, I think the battery style on the RadRover looks a bit dated. I prefer the non-proprietary battery integrated in the downtube, like the Yukon 750, Teofatbike, Juiced CrossCurrents, Magnum Peak, etc. If I lived in the U.S., I would buy the 2017 Magnum Peak, which has a large battery...
