    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

Sounds like a unique issue with your E-14. Must be very frustrating but it clearly isn't due to kickstand lean. My Delite is stored vertical with front tire on a wall hook and the back tire on the garage floor which is a very unnatural position with no leaks ever. I have read of an issue with...

    Removing both batteries simultaneously

With the ABUS locks the locks are all keyed alike e.g. one key should do it all. Your dealer should have gone through all of that on delivery/setup.

The process to register your batteries with FTH Power and then ship them free of charge to get them upgraded is not difficult. You might want to get on that program as I think your suggested solution has a few snags. :)

I posted the same email from Bikonit in the Known Issues & Problems with Bikonit Products section. Interesting that both Yeili and Bikonit are stepping up on this. They are shipping me boxes for both batteries and being in CA I expect that all will be good in a couple of weeks. BTW, I heard...

    Warthog HD/MD Thread

Weird to reply to myself, I know but I think it is important to let people know when a product with a know significant defect is still being sold. The details taken from a thread in the Bikonit Section are in the quote box below. Caveat Emptor!

I find it disturbing that Bikonit, Bolton and the Alibaba OEM's are still selling the Sturmey Archer RX-RK5 IGH drivetrain on the MD 1000. I was just on the Bolton Ebikes website and they have the "Warthog" version of the MD1000 "on sale" with only the SA IGH option. They aren't even offering...

If you goal is to have your handlebars slightly higher then flipping the stem will do that. A photo of the way it is now won't tell you anything but here you go. I don't really want to remove the stem again for before and after photos. It really doesn't look much different with the flipped stem...

Known Issues & Problems with Riese & Müller Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

The clicking sound was resolved by tightening up virtually all the bikes screws and bolts. Hasn't returned over the past months (I'm at 1,500 miles now). The standard stem is angled down a few degrees. Turning it upside down reverses that and increased the handlebar height a couple of inches...

Both water bottles keep falling off my Superdelite

Sorry to be a contrarian on this point but the primary reason I own an ebike (or two) is because "fighting the slopes" is just not in the plan. When thirsty in warm weather, a cool to cold beverage is my only desire. I've owned hydration packs in the past and found they were a PITA requiring a...

I'm 25 miles into a ride this morning. I set the fork pressure to 140. Seems more stable in rough terrain. Haven't ridden it in while and I'm remembering how much fun it is to ride. It's so f-ing fast ... Update: the ride yesterday was just under 50 miles. I Used Sport mode more than ever...

No, a cover is bad for aerodynamics and would increases the movement of the hitch due to wind buffeting. Just cover the electronic parts with something if it rains.

It is rated for 200 lbs. I put my MD 1000 70lbs and my wife's ebike (60lbs) on it with no problems. It's easy to load (if you can lift them) and worked well for me on a couple of 500 mile trips. Take off the batteries and you'll be fine.

Both water bottles keep falling off my Superdelite

I would think the screws are longer, but the pegs would be the same? In any case, your issue with the included Fabric water bottles is exactly why I did not, and will not order the front rack. Well that and the fact I'm a daily rider, not a bike trekker so I don't need that much storage...

Unlike the Sturmey Archer, the Kindernay was designed for ebike use. As tykoehn said, it has the highest torque rating of any IGH so theoretically it should be a good match for Ultra motor equipped ebikes. While it has it's good points, the MD 1000 is a a bit of a Frankenstein bike with many...
