    Bosch ebike system reliability

Teresa, just clutching at straws for you with this one, but could be that an ingress of dirt or dust has become stuck under the plastic shroud that goes around the outside of the switch, and this is then preventing it from operating correctly. You can remove this shroud for cleaning, but you do...

    eMTB off road photo thread.

More day time and night time fun. Although the full suspension Lycan is shown here, I have now started a very thorough nut and bolt service of it, so the hardtail will now become the go to bike. I don't need full suspension in the winter anyway, so it is no great loss just to store it away once...

ShareRoller - Quick and Dirty Electric Bikes

I said all along that this was a bad idea and a lemon, and have yet to see or read anything that convinces me otherwise. I really can't believe that you are happy to be strung along by the continued false promises of completion and shipment dates. Have you never wondered why Velosolex choose...

    Bike light

Although I use a couple of different lights, my 'go to' light is a Fenix BT20. I have switched the battery pack though to an 6 x 18650 set up.

    Last event of 2016

Today saw the last organised event for me for 2016. I was riding with two other KTM riders, albeit with them on pedal mtb's. Todays event was 32 miles long, and unfortunately for me, I took a heavy fall 7 miles in whilst riding point. I fell on a blind corner at roughly 30mph and ended on the...

Machina Force 10 starting to creek

You only need to remove the left hand pedal crank, but sadly yes you will need a puller.

Machina Force 10 starting to creek

The motor mount bolts probably just need tightening. It is common thing across all bike brands which use the Bosch motor system. You could also check the ISIS pedal bolt, but I doubt that is the issue.

    Nyon is no more.

Hi Chris. For my point of view usb holds no interest to me. I have also never heard of Intuvia going flat, but then mine doesn't sit around long enough for that. :) I'm still leaning towards buying two Purion systems though, as for my use, the benefit for off road use outweigh not being able...

    Nyon is no more.

Hi Ann, I hadn't thought about the removal of the display. I never leave my display unit on the bike when not in use, so you have raised a very good point that I need to check before I go any further. Thanks for thinking about that. :)

    Nyon is no more.

I removed Nyon a very long time ago in favour of Intuvia, and sold it on Ebay. I'm also now in the procees of getting rid of Intuvia in favour of Purion for both bikes. Finally a dispaly fit for eMTB use. :)

What kind of mileage are you getting vs what the marketing said?

Using the Bosch CX motor with a 500wh battery, the minimum has been 9 miles of a 10.4 mile ride, with an elevation gain of 6,428ft The ride was ridden using tour for most of it. The max has been about 35 miles using tour with about 3,500ft of elevation gain. This range is consistant between...

Trying to make the most of the last of the summer sunshine, I decided to have another play on the South Downs. The weather couldn't have been better. :)
