Changing either the Front or Rear gears to ease grades or alternatively to provide faster speeds.

Changing the chainring is a snap. I’ve done it myself a few times. Changing the cassette can get complicated. I’ve always had the shop do it. If your Creo is the same as mine, it came with a 46t chainring. My Salsa Warroad came with a 42t chainring, which I swapped for a 38t. That required me...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I don’t understand “too many e-bikes.” I’ve never heard those words used together.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

The Airzound will do that. I use it for cars and trucks. Makes inattentive drivers jump out of their skins. They think a train has left the tracks and is about to mow them down. Always fun. I should make a video.

    Vado SL 5.0 kick stand

Strange. I’m guessing your Vado didn’t include a kickstand. My 2021 Vado SL 5.0 EQ came with a kickstand. I looked at the Specialized website and it’s listed as part of the specification. And road bikes don’t have them because of roadies. The click stand is great by the way. (For my road bike.)

Creo setting to negate bike weight?

I remember reading a review that called the Creo an e-Diverge. Then someone mistook my Creo for a Diverge. They look identical, but I haven’t looked at the geometry specs.

Creo setting to negate bike weight?

That‘s one of the funniest things I’ve heard. I’m also an 80 kg rider. But I live on a mountain at 1,400‘ above the local beaches. Anywhere I go, even down to the ocean, I have to ride some uphill to get there. Riding back home… I don’t even want to talk about it. Lol. I’m also 64. The Creo...

Creo setting to negate bike weight?

None. There is no setting that will make the obese Creo handle or accelerate like a svelte 8 kg road bike. I have an 8 kg carbon fiber road bike. It is an amazing bike. Nothing handles like it. It is a cheetah, a greyhound, a Ferrari on two wheels. It is so much fun. I also have an S-Works Creo...

    Intro - Hello from Tokyo!

@VoltMan99 What is the max assisted speed limit in Japan? I did a ryokan to ryokan tour of the Noto Peninsula a couple of years ago. Is there a better way to travel? Beautiful area, bamboo forests, small agricultural valleys, wonderful food, and the onsens. We rented ebikes for the week. They...

A small spacer between the Creo Extended Range battery cage and bike frame

I believe the spacers keep the downtube screws from running into the battery. My 2021 Creo downtube bottle cage screws are much shorter than the seat post screws. I don't remember if there were spacers in place originally, but one of the Specialized screws also self destructed upon removal. I...

Specialized Creo SL Handlebar Remote Buttons

Yes, this is great advice. If they’re not placed up high enough, then you can’t easily reach them from the hoods. I electrician-taped them in place, then tested hand positions, then moved them higher. My first attempt was miserable. I’ve now taped bars about four times and learned how to do it...

Specialized Creo SL Handlebar Remote Buttons

Inside of the drops. Accessed by your thumbs. Thumbs inside for power. Fingers outside for shifting and brakes. There seems to be a standard from Specialized. You shift on the left to a lower gear, making it easier to pedal. So they put the more-power button (easier to pedal) on the left. The...

Specialized Creo SL Handlebar Remote Buttons

They install under the handlebar tape, on the INSIDE of the shifters, accessed by your thumbs. Do not let the bike shop install them on top. When installed as pictured, you can use them from the hoods or the drops. Thumbs for power, fingers for shifting and braking. Electrician’s tape to attach...

    Newbie

You have so much great advice, other than this last bullet point. 😂 I have three carbon fiber bikes: a 10 year old Trek Superfly MTB, a Salsa Warroad gravel bike, and the S-Works Creo which I’ve set up for gravel. The two reasons I bought CF was weight and to tame imperfect roads, off road in...

APPLE AIRTAGS THE NEW BIKE LOJACK?

When the AirTag notifies the thief that he is being followed, he will be able to find the AirTag immediately with an iPhone or Android or his ears. Prying off the reflector is easy. Removing an AirTag hidden inside the stem while on the side of a road is another thing. They will either leave my...

APPLE AIRTAGS THE NEW BIKE LOJACK?

Slightly easier install perhaps, but the reflector is no obstacle for the above average tweaker. Popping open the stem is a piece of cake. Just four bolts. From my perspective, there is no difference in difficulty. They are both elementary. I have one of those tail lights on order. I won’t be...
