    How fast are people riding?

I have a "Class 2" Pedego Interceptor that was made before widespread ebike laws, so goes 25mph. I mostly ride under 17mph when using pedal assist, with rare exceptions when I've been in a hurry to get to work (and that is no longer an issue with the pandemic). My bike is an absolute train on...

How do you request that a thread be closed?

Just give a holler. This should be a great place to hang out. Angela M. is paid staff so is here every day, so for a speedy reply, she's the best person to contact. I'm a volunteer, and here sporadically. :)

The appropriate forum for this thread would be "General Discussion", so I'm moving the thread there. :) Thanks for asking!

Why aren't many ebike warranties tranferable?

Before buying anything used and of value, it's worthwhile to check on warranty transfer.... lack of warranty is one reason that used things are less expensive.

Misleading warranty for all time based warranties ??

I don't think what you suggest is common. Companies are bound by the terms of their written warranty. If your system is written into the warranty, then that's how it goes. My experience with warranties (non e-bike) is that they expire as scheduled, and there is not any extension for time...

Do you have a Pedego dealer near you? They have a low end City Commuter at your price point.

mid drives are not for everyone/throttles are fine

We love our throttles!! We live in a hilly area and also ride in the city. Love the throttle for starting on hills and at traffic lights. Also love a touch of throttle for walking the bike up driveways that are too steep to ride up. I would never buy a class 1, but it’s great that some like them.

What happens when your Ebike you ordered on the Internet breaks?

My local bike tech will do anything non-electric, as will my LBS. For electric stuff, to the dealer I go. They have my battery that has 4,000 miles on it there now to replace the power bridge. Before I bought, I talked to ebike owners and heard sad stories of unfixable ebikes. So I decided to...

Fall 2020 Ebike Reliability Survey by Ebike Test Lab

Is there a customer service survey this time?

    EBR reviews barely mention reliability/repairability

I visited Pedego headquarters and they have a section of their warehouse that is devoted to parts for all of their bike models back quite a few years. I believe they have a commitment to provide parts for many years. Of course they have a dealer model and are modeled after the automotive industry.

Pedego launches its lowest-priced electric bicycle

Most Pedego stores are well stocked in terms of bikes to try. But, they won't sell you the last one, for that reason. I suggest going to your local store to try them, and then you can also find out if you can get one right away or if they are back-ordered. You can also call Pedego HQ to ask your...

Keith, My son loves his bike. He has about 3,000 miles on it. He doesn't have physical disabilities. His challenges with biking, though, relate to functional vision and balance. He can't really watch out for cars by looking back over his shoulder, so is reliant on cars to watch out for him. And...

How does Ride1Up Produce Better Ebikes with less cost and effort than established rivals (eg Juiced)?

Love this. For the US market, I think they'd need a bigger motor (350 watt? 500 watt?--Americans are often much bigger than Japanese people), for sure, and a speed to go with the US bike classes, (so, class 2, 20mph?) So, maybe that would make it more expensive... but I'd love to see these bikes...

sure looks like a scam bike to me on indiegogo

Does anyone even make a regen system that can actually charge a bike? I know that lots of people think ebikes should self-charge, but is the technology even there for that to be possible?
