    I WANT THAT!

Is there such a thing as a non-OEM Shimano BT-e8016 battery replacement?

Good thing you did not order from there. They do a whole lot of “bait and switch”.

Lightweight, simple, versatile- help me decide between several options

The Rad Mission is 48 pounds. That is hefty compared to the Ride1Up Roadster. Here’s another interesting option. Yes, it’s in “crowd funding” status right now but Eunorau is already a known player in the market. This particular bike is under 40 pounds, has a middrive and uses a torque sensor...

Selling a Bosch Performace cx 4 bike for a Mahle x35+ bike

Ebikemotion X35 uses a speed sensor paired to a cadence sensor. It’s actually very good for a cadence sensor bike but not anywhere as good as what you have now. So if you like an eBike that feels like a bike, keep the Grail :On. You already have a super nice bike. In this case, the grass is not...

    Vado SL for Towing Kids?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work without the proper axle. I couldn’t find a thru axle on Robert Axle without going custom but Burley had one at a lower price so I went for that.

    Vado SL for Towing Kids?

It’ll do the job just fine. I used to tow both my kids in their Burley with a 250w hub drive bike. It took the edge off but it was a heck of a workout. The middrive on the Vado SL has much more useable torque since it can leverage the rear gearing.

Radwagon 4 best value bike for short distance + hills with kids?

For that budget, I'd personally take a good look at the Eunorau G20. It has a middrive that will help with those hills in a much more efficient way than a hub motor.

Zoom electric scooter moped quick review

This is the off topic section. It's as good a place as any. A lot of us use micro-mobility vehicles as tools for covering distances. I for one hope to see more of this kind of thing. One less car is good for all of us.

Bike recommendation for lightweight and good range.

Oh cool! Looks like they're no longer using the eBikeMotion X35 system that employed a cadence+speed sensor. This seems like a pretty good value if someone is looking for a relatively light-weight bike that feels like a bike and doesn't ride in super steep or sustained hills.

I recently got Covid. Likely Omicron. AMAA

I’ve had flu that felt worse, too. But my bout of Covid lasted much longer than my typical 1-2 days of flu suffering.

I recently got Covid. Likely Omicron. AMAA

The earlier reports did indicate that smell and taste senses were not effected. I’m making an assumption that the strain I (and my entire family) got is Omicron. My household members did not all test at the same place. The reason I’m making that assumption is that when our daughter tested, it...

I recently got Covid. Likely Omicron. AMAA

It'll get to almost everyone at some point but here's my story. Was vaccinated early on in March 2021 and got the booster mid November 2021. I'm a government employee that has some interactions with the general public in a public building where there is a strict masking policy. We sparingly...

Del Valle? If it is, it’s been too long since I’ve been there. And I’ve never taken a bike ride over there…just a bit of fishing.

See, I look at where you ride and I wish I could ride there, too. 😁 We definitely don’t lack trails around here but not that many with awesome tree cover and mixed terrain unless I go to MTB specific spots…and my bike would be major underbiking. And I don’t mind underbiking but I’d be holding...

Cargo or commuter bike? 1 kid in the city

How often will you need a cargo bike? I thought I wanted one before but I like having a nimble commuter and leisure bike for most uses. I really don’t think I’d enjoy riding a cargo as my only bike option. When I want to take the kiddos along or want to carry a load of groceries, I attach the...

Why: Copious heat energy generated ( wasted ?) by my TV CABLE BOXES

Haha! I place stickers on all the LEDs in our bedrooms. All the other stuff I leave alone. They work as a night light for the occasional night time bathroom trip.

Why: Copious heat energy generated ( wasted ?) by my TV CABLE BOXES

Yup I remember those. If it has a DVR, it likely has a spinning hard drive as well as an inefficient processor.

We recently moved from the Peninsula to the North Bay Area in California. I’ll miss some of the rugged coast we used to ride but I’m absolutely floored by the hills especially after a little bit of rain to bring out the greenery.
