Wanted: Lightweight (less than 20kg), high Torque (90NM), Motor offering large amount of power 500w+, removable large battery

I believe it was suggested. Because it doesn’t have gears it’s pretty useless for hills specially if your carrying extra weight.

Yes that’s my favourite, in my area a good local brand is Waterloo as well.

Direct drive + Pinion gearbox + Gates drive system = Lowest maintenance powerful E-bike

Ebike is not likely they have too much already on their plate. The quad was a modified Yamaha done for marketing impact, no Tesla engineering there.

    Kinekt Seatpost Sizing

I am wondering if you have any squeaks or other noises from your Kinekt? It’s the only complaint I ever see from users. Vado is so quiet that I find any noise quickly becomes irritable.

    Front fork: necessary or no?

If you ride on roads and paved paths I would say that a suspension stem and seat post will give you a relief from most bumps and tuneability to your weight. At your price point you will only get the most basic suspension fork. I am 160 pounds and I find that my suspension fork does almost...

The therapeutic value of ebiking for people with anxiety or depression

I love riding in the rain as long as it’s warm enough.. Empty trails. The flowers smell much better or more intense, right now lilacs are so fragrant you can almost chew the fragrance! One caveat you must clean and oil your chain after each ride in the rain.

    Best ebike repair stand

Here is my solution I made it from scraps. The two end pieces pivot to self center on the bars. Bike is Vado 4

    Maintenance Tip

On a lot of mid drives when you pedal backwards the chain does not move. This is also a PITA for chain maintenance.

    Maintenance Tip

I rode the bike after my repairs and there was no sponginess in the brakes. If the air can migrate while the bike is upside down I guess it can migrate back when you flip it back upright. Or maybe there is zero air in the system so again no problem. I’ll spend the $380 I saved on a new trunk bag...

    Maintenance Tip

There is no angle of rotation that will not cause damage to something. In my case the display is fixed as well.

    Maintenance Tip

The front fender on my bike came loose and the only way to fix it was to remove the front wheel to expose the loose screw. I needed a way to to hold the bike while I worked on it. So I made a very simple handlebar stand and it works better than I expected. I got the fender fixed in minutes. But...

The requirement is 13kg so like I said your recommendation is grossly overweight.

Stuck indoors with too much time on my hands EBR has provided much entertainment and kept me somewhat sane.

Eeyo: lightweight, belt-driven, rear-hub, carbon fiber e-bike from Gogoro

If I owned it there would be no maintenance! Hang it on the wall just to look at. Buff it every few weeks to keep the dust off😉

Eeyo: lightweight, belt-driven, rear-hub, carbon fiber e-bike from Gogoro

The combination of low power , small battery and no gears really limits its speed/practicality. I must admit it’s nice to look at? The super model of ebikes.

Wanted: Lightweight (less than 20kg), high Torque (90NM), Motor offering large amount of power 500w+, removable large battery

Very nice bike but they seem to suggest a Gates transmission (marketing misleading hype?) but looking at it I would say it’s a single speed. Might be a real challenge on hills if the gearing is as high as they claim.
