Larger a chain Ring for Vado

Thank you for posting this. I am going to do the same for the exact same reason when my first chain wears out. If anyone has North American Specialized part numbers for the ring and bash guard I would really appreciate them to make it easier for the LBS.

Cane creek thudbuster ST gen 4

I saw some reviews that complained about the seat mount on the new design. Have you had any problems with the seat coming loose?

Wanted: Lightweight (less than 20kg), high Torque (90NM), Motor offering large amount of power 500w+, removable large battery

But why suggest something that she is clearly unable to lift? It doesn’t help her. Better to say what she wants doesn’t exist.

Wanted: Lightweight (less than 20kg), high Torque (90NM), Motor offering large amount of power 500w+, removable large battery

What we seem to have here is a failure to communicate! She is asking for a 28.6 pound bike and people keep posting bikes way heavier than that weight. If the battery is not easily removed it becomes part of the weight of the bike. So for those of you that failed math the 37 pound Vado SL is much...

Wanted: Lightweight (less than 20kg), high Torque (90NM), Motor offering large amount of power 500w+, removable large battery

Because weight is so important to you would a stand up electric scooter work? There are some with larger wheels and suspensions that offer a smooth fast ride. They don’t weigh much and fold up for easy lifting and storage. Just trying to think outside the box.

    Cycle friendly streets ?

Actually the Dutch do wear helmets. In the city speeds are so low that nobody bothers. But the spandex wearing road demons that ride in the country at high speeds all wear helmets. It’s not regulated but it’s what they do.

Wanted: Lightweight (less than 20kg), high Torque (90NM), Motor offering large amount of power 500w+, removable large battery

What your asking for doesn’t really exist because high power and light weight are mutually exclusive. I also am assuming that you need fenders and a rack which add more weight. Some suggestions. Don’t focus on the 90nm. Most of the torque numbers published are marketing hype and not directly...

    Brake confusion?

Hydraulic brakes are easier to modulate giving you slightly better control and the do take less effort. I wouldn’t say they are a game changer just slightly better.

My kudos to you Ravi for helping to change the world whether it is ready or not! Also makes me proud as a Canadian that we have some part in developing the technology.

Winds out of the south bring massive waves crashing into the retaining wall. Pictures don’t do justice to the power being unleashed by the water hitting the concrete and blasting 20 feet in the air.

OK I learned a new word. No studded tires just wait for a good day when most of the ice is gone.

Sorry what are Pogies? Battery didn’t mind winter temps at all. I kept the battery indoors and put it on the bike for the ride. I figured as the motor starts to draw power the batteries would generate their own heat. I saw no noticeable reduction in power or range. As soon as I got home I...

This my winter setup. It looks weird but it keeps my hands warm like no gloves ever could. I rode all winter long in temperatures down to -5C.

    Why are SurRons so cheap?

I couldn’t disagree more. I grew up in the sixties when Honda came on the scene and built super reliable motorcycles like the club 90 the CB350 and the CB750. They added features that didn’t previously exist and they were reliable as hammers. Honda bankrupted many of the old guard manufacturers...

Are Electric Bikes Legal In Canada?

I am a little late to this thread but the issue with the Toronto regulations are severe crowding on park trails. With a population nearing 2,000,000 and very few parks the core of the city is always congested. I occasionally ride the Toronto trails along the lake and I can tell you that...

    Folding ebike

I own both folding and regular ebikes and I would say the ride of the folding bikes is too harsh for anything other than good pavement a short rides. The folder is perfect for throwing into the car and discovering new places to ride. Otherwise I always end up going for the full size bike.
