Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

That’s what I’ve done. The Allen key can get wedged in and require a sharp push on the pedal in the forward direction to get it out. I got some very minor nicks in the crank arm at the contact point too. It looks like the above product avoids that by keeping the Allen perpendicular to the chain...

[RESOLVED] (refunded) New Vado 5.0 IGH in the shop, errors galore---updated 4-13-22

I don’t know if this will help with you issue, but I noticed your device updates version numbers in your first post were blank. That happened to me several times with my Vado SL and I had trouble connecting to mission control. I found that my Garmin would interfere with MC if I turned it on...

That sure clears things up for me! All this time I thought you had to put your arms in first.

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

I used MC on my ride yesterday and Ride did show battery level and the time in assist modes chart again. Seems like the IT techs at Specialized did sort out the problem. I’m glad to have that data back. I had asked Ride tech support a few months ago if they would add more ebike data functions...

Itching to upgrade my ‘20 Vado and Creo, trade or sell?

My Vado SL went to Pro’s Closet as per their instructions: battery installed and half charged. The shipping label they supplied was for FedEx. Their FAQS says not to include external batteries. I thought it was interesting that they gave me my quote based on the year, model, and two rather poor...

Itching to upgrade my ‘20 Vado and Creo, trade or sell?

I took advantage of the 25% off sale on Creos and bought a carbon comp two weeks ago. Ive been riding a Vado SL 4.0 since last summer and was very happy with it, but just wanted the road bile feel again. The VSL was close, and I could have been happy keeping it but the Creo is better for me at...

Why no CADENCE or POWER displays.

Ok, thanks. So it’s just rider power and no motor power then.

Why no CADENCE or POWER displays.

You say “creo power is displayed in the bottom right field”. I see two numbers, 275 watts and 70. Do you mean the 70 is the motor power? If so, I didn’t know any app besides the Specialized ones and Blevo could show motor power. Ebike Field (not the Ebike Multifield that you are using) only adds...

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

I just got an email back from specialized rider care and they confirmed that they removed the fake channel from MC. They also said that the loss of battery level and support level in the Ride app is “a known issue” and they will work on it.

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

I think you’re right. I like the Blevo ride map with the slider that lets you look at any point along the route and gives complete data including rider power, motor power, assistance level, cadence, speed, HR, etc. I stopped using it when I found the Ride app gave most of that, and when I read...

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

Oh! Glad to know I can stop searching for a problem that I can’t fix! Sorry that you have the same issue now. I think I’ll go back to using Blevo to look at post-ride stats. Thanks! You saved me a lot of time!

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

MC version looks like it was updated a week ago, ver 2.12.0. The bike is my new Creo. I installed ebike field before my fourth ride and that’s when the data glitch started. I just noticed the missing fake channel and I do remember seeing it in the past.

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

Yes, the fake channel option is no longer shown in Tune. It used to be there but I never used it. I’m thinking ebike field might have used it or changed its function somehow.

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

I’ve been looking for answers to a data problem in another thread and now I have a very specific question. I have never used the MC fake channel but I suspect another app (ebike field) may have used it so I went to “Tune” in MC to be sure fake channel is disabled but it isn’t there. I don’t see...

Ebike field/ Specialized Ride problem on Creo

I removed my Creo from mission control, then reinstalled it. The Ride app still doesn’t collect the battery and assist level data from MC. Since this only started after I installed ebike field I assume that has something to do with it. And I already removed that app from garmin connect and tried...

Ebike field/ Specialized Ride problem on Creo

I don’t watch mission control during rides, I start it and put the phone in my pocket and just watch the garmin during rides. Yes, older rides in “Ride” still shows the battery and assist level data. It stopped when I paired Ebike field. And I have never used the Fake channel. Both Rider and...

Ebike field/ Specialized Ride problem on Creo

I have a garmin 130 plus and I run mission control on rides to collect data. I use the specialized “Ride” app after rides to see the data mission control logs. I like it because it gives graphs of battery charge, motor power, rider power that you can see at any point in the ride, plus a chart of...

25% off on all remaining Creos!!

A heads up in case anyone is considering getting a Creo - they are 25% off on the Specialized (US) website. Looks like they’re cleaning out the last of the 2021’s. I just got a carbon comp and I’ll give a report after another week of riding as to my impressions on my Creo vs. my Vado SL.
