Too Many Posters Asking Others To Do Web Searches For Them

Amen, @Alaskan ! Even to this day, I'll refer back to Court's review of the Haibike Full FatSix and his excellent breakdown of components with who manufactured it and the model number. That's important to me for when it comes time to replace that component due to wear or breakage. That's alot...

    Priority Current battery/motor issue.

@Unico57 - That's great to hear. Also: very nice to read of a bike company that is super proactive in helping their customers. For far too often, there are stories on this site of ebike owners who don't recieve great service after the sale!

    I paid $4700 for a 65lb paperweight.

@MichelleJae: What is the latest update on your Giant? I know by everything you've described that you have been way beyond patient waiting for your LBS and Giant to come to an agreement in getting you back on the road again. I've no clue as to what WebLink is, but it sounds like a middleman...

    Raleigh motus

It's the way of all bike manufacturers, not just Raleigh. 2 years after buying my Fatboy, I contacted Specialized asking for some frame decals as I was doing a paint job on the front fork. They were of no help to me. Even people with the high end bikes like R&M may find small parts hard to find...

    Raleigh motus

Can you not adapt a similar stay support from a local bike shop or on-line bike parts supplier? There are equal and even better fenders, mudguards and repair parts already on the market.

    Have you seen a ghost

Sorry to disappoint, friends, no movie. Kinda wondering what the heck @ChezCheese:) was referring to, there. Not much on movies anymore, although I have a great fondness for those Hammers films. No, my time on Great Duck was very real. Quite enjoyed it, too. Except for those occasional...

    Have you seen a ghost

40 years ago now; I was asleep in my bedroom when I awokened to a silent figure in white at the foot of my bed. Being that I am blind without my glasses I could not make out any facial figures. To my blind-as-a-bat eyes, it was a person glowing white. I am a sober, sane, rational person. I...

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

@David Berry: I'll second what @Alaskan and so many others said here. Though I'm not a contributor to this fine thread with post-card worthy pictures worth framing, I do check in alot. And your absence had me worried about you. Count me in that age group too, ready to start collecting social...

this guy really needed a e bike with a throttle.

This story reminds me of the escaped chain gang convicts making their getaway on bicycles in Woody Allen's "Take The Money And Run". One pedal........ 🤣 🥴

    Karens on bikes

Very disturbing, is what that was. On many fronts. I cannot ever imagine, after denying a person, that they would do an end-around and enter your home, again. Uninvited. @Mr. Coffee: I forsee in the very near future that gate getting put up. It will be for the safety of you and your neighbors...

    FlatOut and -9F, Comedy Gold

I've done it all. Bare tubes. Tubes with Slime. Tubes with Mr Tuffy liners. Tubeless with Orange Seal. Back to bare tubes and Tannus Armour, which I have been running with for about 2 years now. Tubeless is a considerable investment of time and money. Time in having to tape the rims, a...

Haibike hardseven 6 complete loss of power

I think at this point, having only 2 weeks run time, a visit to the dealer for a warranty claim, is in order. Let us know what they find.

Haibike hardseven 6 complete loss of power

Pretty vague information supplied there. What speed sensor "hack"? There are different brands out there. Is it compatible with your particular speed sensor magnet arrangement? What happens if you undo the speed chip and go back to stock? Doing that would help narrow down where your problem lies...

Yamaha PW motor 20 mph unlocked. Durability?

@Johnitahoe: 2016 model year Haibike FullFatSix, Yamaha PW. PearTune speed chip installed roughly 2 years ago. Approximately 17,200 miles on the odometer since placed in service, April 2017. No problems to report except for 1 loose spoke magnet early on (tightened that and no troubles since)...

List your experience with Tannus Armour

Still running on the same Tannus Armour fat tire inserts I installed several years ago. Still riding with the understanding that they are NOT 100% bulletproof against flat tires should you run over a nail or a thorn or any other object that passes through the tire and liner. For that, you need...

Input for long range commuter build?

Help me along here. That bike has a rear shock. If I can safely and reasonably assume the rear shock is also accompanied by a front shock; has any consideration been taken into figuring the suspension travel smashing right into that battery casing? Not to mention the debris like mud, water...

Replacing valve core on a slimed tire

Presta. In all my years of riding presta tubed tires of all sizes, it was a first for me, too. Picture the inner diameter of the valve body that is too small to fit a core removal tool. That is the situation with a Kenda 26" fat bike presta valved tire tube.

Does This Tire Look Like It Only Has 175 Miles On It?

As per what @sc00ter wrote, what's the tire pressure? What's the tire pressure rating on the sidewall of the tire? Yes, at the max tire pressure rating (or above), riding on asphalt, your tread blocks will wear down quickly. 175 miles quickly? I don't know about that. I question how soft the...

Replacing valve core on a slimed tire

Semi-inventing problems! Just ease the valve core out slowly to allow the pressure to bleed off. You could have the valve core positioned at say, 11 o'clock as most of the Slime will have accumulated at the bottom of the tube (aka 6 o'clock) I had some Kenda 26" fat bike tubes that did not...

New rider confession: my butt hurts

Jones Bicycles invented the H-Bar (not to be confused with the H Bar you mention in your post!), which allows the rider to use multiple positions, including the sitting up straight position. It just might work for you. They also provide the necessary grips & bar end caps to complement the bike...
