    ? about T10

You may find a 45cm frame too small if you are 5'8. The problem will be raising the seat post high enough to get comfortable leg extension once you are used to the bike. The sizing chart for the T10 suggests that a 45 cm frame is good for people 4'10" to 5'6". As far as display, I used to own...

    Thoughts on Cafe Lock removal?

Personally, I like the cafe lock design. I never have to worry about forgetting my key at home when I go out for a ride. I bought and use the associated plug in AXA cable lock which is easy to carry in a saddle bag. One key, always available on the bike :)

    Suspension seat post for C380

If your current seat post is down all the way, and you find it comfortable, I doubt that you will be able to raise it enough to accommodate a suspension seat post. All suspension seat posts require 8 to 10 cm above the seat post collar to accommodate the suspension mechanism. A change of 1 cm...

Just bought an Ultimate C8 HMB

My experience in Vancouver, Canada is that the bike shops won't negotiate on MSRP for Gazelle bikes, but they may throw in a few extras such as helmet, panniers, etc. The 2022 Gazelle models are now on sale in North America at up to $500 off.

    Riding Tire pressure

I ride an Ultimate C380 with 28 x 1.75 tires. I am 210 lbs and keep my tire pressure between 55 and 60 psi. I think 70 psi would be too firm. According to the table posted above it seems I am at the recommended pressure for my tire size and weight. The side wall of my tire specs 45 to 70 psi.

    Mono shock adjustment

I thought I should revive this thread. I now have 2000 km on my Gazelle Ultimate C380, and was always disappointed at how stiff the ride felt over bumps. I felt that the front shock didn't really do anything... and I was right. After looking at this thread a few days ago, I went for a ride...

Proper seats/saddles (especially for an e-bike)

Cool... I just tried the right arm thing and my fingers reach to the centre of the bottom bracket. I had never heard of that before.

    Vado (SL), Gazelle, Oh My..

I used to own a Specialized Turbo Como 3.0 (2018 Version) with the older Bloks display. I now own and ride a Gazelle Ultimate C380. The following are some of my comparisons: 1. Overall, I find the Gazelle slightly more comfortable to ride (can be adjusted to a more upright position). 2. Range...

    Rear wheel resistance.

It’s probably because there is more mechanical drag on the back wheel due to resistance of freehub pawls clicking past freehub body and more bearings in the Enviolo hub. I have an Ultimate C380 and my rear wheel does not turn as freely as the front, which is to be expected.

Just bought an Ultimate C8 HMB

Yes, both Kinekt and RedShift make 27.2 seat posts (RedShift is only available as 27.2). As Stefan indicated the Como uses a 30.9 post so it wouldn't fit the Gazelle. I like both the RedShift and Kinekt posts... they both are quite similar in terms of smoothing out the ride. The only thing I...

Just bought an Ultimate C8 HMB

Congrats on your new bike. I am sure you are going to enjoy it. I picked up a new Gazelle Ultimate C380 in early December 2022, and have put on over 900 kilometres. I really like the Gazelle. The only issue so far is that I noticed several loose spokes on the rear wheel. I'm not sure if...

Hitch bike rack - Gazelle Ultimate C8/C380

Thule sells a bike rack cross bar adapter which clamps around the seat post under the seat and around the handle bar stem under the handlebars. I have used it and works well.

Considering a Gazelle, Pros and Cons?

I am 5’9” and have a medium frame Gazelle Ultimate C380. It’s the right size for me. I think a small frame would be too short.

    Sold - Specialized Turbo Como/Vado (2018-2021) 460WH Battery & 4-Amp Charger

I used to own a Specialized Turbo Como 2.0, and purchased a larger 604WH battery and 4-Amp charger after using the 460WH battery for around 200 rides. I recently traded-in the Como c/w original 2-Amp charger on a Gazelle Ultimate 380, so now have no use for the extra 460WH battery and the 4-Amp...

    New Chain Woes

I had exactly the same problem when I put a new chain on my Como 3. Turned out that it was the front chainring that was worn and wouldn't mesh properly with the new chain. They demonstrated the problem in the bike shop by putting the bike up on the stand, and then peddling while applying...

Como Tire - what options for a tire narrower than the stock tire?

Interesting write-up, however, the inner rim width on the Como (at least on mine) is 30mm (not 26mm). Applying the general guideline of 1.45 to 2.00 x width of 30mm, seems the 47mm (1.75") tire would still be in acceptable range, but much closer to the narrow end of acceptability.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Very perceptive. Yes, I too was not too happy when I went to pick up my bike and saw the old components mounted on the new bike. In addition to the frame, I did get the front and rear lights, shimano brakes (although old rotors), and somewhat larger (500 Wh) battery. I did not get new 11...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

As far as I know, all were / are 2017 models. I bought the Como 2.0 in late December 2017, had it replaced with new Como 2.0 Spring 2018, and had that one replaced with Como 3.0 early this year. I thought I was getting a newer model Como 3.0, but on inspection, I see the serial number sticker...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

I am on my third bike now due to cracked frames. I originally bought the low entry Turbo Como 2.0, and after 650 kms, experienced the exact problems described (creaking noises and loose motor). Specialized gave me a brand new Como 2.0. After 1500 kms on the new bike, same problem. I then...
