    Como 3.0 IGH battery upgrade

That I don’t know. I suppose if they don’t intend to use their 530w battery they can transfer the cover if the 710 doesn’t come with the cover.

    Como 3.0 IGH battery upgrade

Yes, you can use the 710w Como 4 battery. I have a Vado 3IGH and use my Vado 4 710w battery all the time.

    Como IGH belt cover.

I did the same thing during my first ride on my Vado IGH. It’s not a critical part. Many belt drive bikes don’t even have guards as they’re not needed. My LBS keeps them in stock because they break often. I think it was about $20.

Should I buy a Vado SL, or Wait for the Release of the Version with the 1.2 Motor?

If you find yourself having to push the bike, the walk mode works very well at removing the weight of the bike. I actually like these heavier bikes on the more complex trails I ride. I don’t do big jumps or drops anymore that the weight might be an issue but otherwise the extra weight gives a...

Should I buy a Vado SL, or Wait for the Release of the Version with the 1.2 Motor?

I’ve ridden trails like that on my Tero X5 with no problems. The Tero X, especially the 5 and 6 are very capable bikes. That said if that was only type of riding I did then I’d opt for the Levo.

Vado 3 IGH sort of review

I’ll start off by saying the Vado 3 IGH might be my favorite bike I’ve ever owed. The current Vado platform is certainly my favorite in terms of geometry and ride characteristics. I bought the Vado 3 IGH because I was interested in a belt drive and at the sale price from last year it was the...

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

I don’t find the Bosch motor to be any more reliable than the current Specialized/Brose motor. The reality is that all e-bike motors should be better and easier to service by the end user.

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

They said USA but there have been a few already available over here. Gazelle isn't a US company.

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

Am I missing something? The Verge article says this the first and only class 3 Smart System. Didn’t Riese and Muller already have that last year in the Charger 4?

    Anyone have the Zebra Pro?

The only issue that I'm aware of is that on the Cobra Pro and other mid drive bikes with the 1000w motors with the high nm's of torque was that it, along with poor shifting technique, was causing chains to break and having to replace cassettes. My personal opinion is that the Bafang 620 is too...

    Anyone have the Zebra Pro?

Cleaning or changing the chain is super easy on a mid drive. It’s no different than doing it on a hub drive or a regular bike.

Review Ride1Up Prodigy V2 XR (chain version)

Nice review. Those are good looking bikes that I took a look at. My problem is the one size fits all geometry. This is why I prefer actual, long established bike companies like Specialized that make different frame sizes as opposed to just using longer or shorter seat posts. I have a Vado in an...

    New vado models

A dealer told me the Vado 5 IGH would not be available until June. They didn’t know whether it would have any changes or just be the same as the ‘23 model.

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

I've put a lot of miles on my new Tero X 5 over the last week and it's been stellar. The power is perfect, the range is great, and the bike overall is extremely versatile. I do kind of wish it had the Vado gearing but it's not a big deal. I was riding with my wife today who just got a new Vado 4...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

I too was interested in the Vado 5 IGH. My lbs told me June of 2024. Hopefully they will have fixed any issues the Automatic was having or will just go with the twist shift which would be preference And yes, according to the Specialized chart the XL frame was the suggested size. But getting in...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

I’ve tried the M, L, and XL. I’m 6’3 and felt most comfortable on the large frame. I absolutely love the Tero X 5. The majority of my rides are on trails, rails to trails, gravel, and pavement in my neighborhood. I don’t commute anywhere but ride everyday. The bike does exactly what I need it to...

Known Issues & Problems with Specialized Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Got my Tero X 5 back today. It’s the best, most comfortable bike I’ve owned. I’m very pleased with my lbs and the quick turnaround.

    Turbo Tero 3.0 questions

I just got a Tero X 5. I’m not sure how different it is from a Tero 3 in terms of gearing and weight but I find the x5 very easy to pedal with no assistance. I was very surprised and pleased by this. It alleviates range anxiety….almost😉

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

I have the Tero X 5. I’m 6’3 and with the large frame. I tried the XL in the Tero X and Vado and felt they were too stretched out for me. My large X 5 is the most comfortable bike I’ve ever ridden.

Best time to buy Vado 5.0?

A couple weeks ago I asked my lbs about the availability of the Vado 5, both IGH and non, and they said they wouldn’t be available until June 2024. I doubt there’ll be a sale anytime soon.
