Chain guard sheared off of chain ring + a few other things

So true. And that open source Robert axle even was an improvement over that OEM "Specialized" part without costing more.

Chain guard sheared off of chain ring + a few other things

 HaHa. If they were standard: why doesn't he stock them? They are typically Specialized. Why can't the LBS order them from Specialized if he didn't want to stock them? I had the same problem when I asked my LBS for a Vado seatpostclamp screw (which was broken because I had torqued it...

Chain guard sheared off of chain ring + a few other things

👍 That's a fine idea! Sorry to say I've got to sort out my knee trouble first.

Chain guard sheared off of chain ring + a few other things

Good luck. How about asking your Specialized LBS? 😕 The Specialized chainring bolts are magnetic so I doubt that they are aluminium. M8 and 9mm/0,348 inch long, Allen 5.

Chain guard sheared off of chain ring + a few other things

😅 Not true, I never made you buy red chainrings as I knew you have orange shoes and blue pedals (you taught me "Galizian style" afterwards only). And yes, some people ;) do use chainring-guards even with the Deckas chainring, and they even showed pictures of it...

Chain guard sheared off of chain ring + a few other things

Shimano uses mineral oil based brake fluid. If contaminated clean your rotors and pads with acetone and alcohol, then use sand paper with the pads and test it afterwards. Repeat the sanding and if that doesn't work, get new brake pads. What did you bleed your brake system for? You shouldn't...

    This thing is a Drug

That's why I called it a cross-over between city-/tour-bike and eMTB, or "all-purpose". If you're looking for eMTB -> not the right choice, I agree. You don't need a rear suspension for that. Just puts on more weight. Better than Vado in several points but NOT heavier. If you don't need the...

    This thing is a Drug

The HNF Nicolai XD3 is by no means a SUV. Call it a crossover between city-/tour-bike and eMTB. The weight is about the same as Vado or Como. Bosch Gen. 4 isn't as noisy as prior Bosch generations. The HNF Nicolai even has the choice of integrated smartphone connectivity. It comes standard with...

    This thing is a Drug

A top class allround bike of a fine German brand, Gates carbon belt system, you can even chose a 45 km/h Bosch motor, Rohloff if you wish, etc etc . Specs? See the link above the picture.

    This thing is a Drug

I would never ever swap my Vado to a Como. But probably to this one (they aren't in PL yet):

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

It has been the same with my Praxis chainring: the diagram (showing how the chain links should be mounted) facing inwards (to the bike frame) and the protrusions of the threads on the opposite side of the chainring (which was free of any further wording, logos etc).

    Disc Brakes and Pads

They are intended for Shimano brakes so they won't fit. The shop linked by Stefan sends to BiH but postage is 14.99 €.

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

Did you find the matching blue colour for it, to use your blue pedals? ;)

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

The drawing as shown attached to my #28 is on the inner side of the chainring, facing the bike frame. At least it was that way from the factory with my Vado, and the Vados of others who commented in this forum. And the abrasions on your chainring aren't normal, even not for a wave chainring.

    Carrying a Como

 The Thule mounting clamps of my Velospace XT2 have a built-in torque limiter and you should turn them until 2x clicks can be heard. The system is "bulletproof" if you do that. Autobahn-tested up to 165 km/h. ;) Do you have those Thule clamps with that built-in torque limiter, and did you...

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

Yes, I followed the birth pangs of a newborn home bike mechanic. :D Heads up, you'll fix the Deckas chainring in 20 minutes next time.

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

It all depends from which side of the Praxis wave chainring you're looking at it. You are showing the inner side of the chainring as the drawing is on that side. Now turn it around and look from the other side, which is the side you normally see when the chainring is mounted on the bike. Then it...

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

True and new to me. 👍 -> I've corrected some of my prior remarks above.

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

Well, my MY2018 Vado Praxis chainring did not carry the wave trademark so there may be differences in equipment and features. Does your Praxis chainring look like the one on the picture attached to my #013, or does it look like the one in #5 ? What MY is yours?

    Misalignment of chain with chainring

The Wave system is a new sub-category of narrow-wide but differs. Vado and Como do use narrow-wide but not or wave, so it is wrong to name the Praxis chainring for Vado "wave" . Even if shops do so. "MRP has launched into the narrow/wide single chainring fray with their unique Wave...
