I guess that's true... I'm most familiar with the area around WWU and Fairhaven - not flat. And, coming off I-5, down the hill through downtown to get out by Hotel Bellwether and to the hospital area. I just never think of Bellingham as being flat 😁.

FWIW, if she's already got an Electra, I believe REI (and probably other retailers) carry the electric version of the Townie... Not familiar with it, just have seen it on the floor there. It might be the most painless switch option?

Pretty much the same ride as last time, but this time meeting the grandkiddos at The Battleground for the loop to Country Park. Returned the way we came today - it was about 1.5 miles longer, but saved us riding with traffic!
