Excuse my heresy and please help, need advice from the fat tire crowd.

Oh, @SpinningGears, old dear friend in a disguise :) The photo you are so laughing at is from a ride where my brother rode my own Giant Trance+ Pro 2 (a 2.6" FS e-MTB), and he had no issues with that trail. I later gave him the Trance for free as he deserved that e-bike. Clear? I invite you to...

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

Guys, I've just looked what the competition can offer for a similar market segment (UK prices). We are talking about lightweight commuter e-bikes. Scott Silence: carbon frame, TQ HPR 50 motor (50 Nm, 300 W), 360 Wh battery, no handlebar remote, SRAM electronic 12s drivetrain powered from e-bike...

Volt 1700 actually gets hot when operated on the full power :) I used it on my e-MTB in the past.

My MTB buddy calls fatties 'pontoons' :D I'm afraid an e-fattie would sink, though :D

Thank you Jason for your effort!

You could describe the procedure of installing the Kinekt (what version?) on your Vado SL 5.0 non-EQ in one of relevant threads!

EBR made me do it! (new Vado SL 5.0 EQ)

Jason, just for your information: I was trying 32, 36, 42 and 44T chainrings on a Vado SL as well as 36, 42, 44 and 48T ones on a Vado 6.0. No issues. The only limiting factor is the maximum chainring size. You may ask Specialized how come a Levo SL comes with a 32T chainring with no adverse...

Excuse my heresy and please help, need advice from the fat tire crowd.

That may only happen on a steep descent. A normal e-bike is nimble and you'd rather avoid the pothole. While a fat bike would ride straight onto it. How even can roadies ride steep descents on their 28 mm tyres? You just jump onto the curb. A fat bike is too heavy to do that. Any MTB will do...

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

A CatEye Volt 1700? :) Expensive but it is a true MTB light. Once, I rode on a pitch black road in the woods with the full power on. Once I got back to the civilisation, I forgot reducing the output. An approaching car had to stop as the driver could see nothing! (Shame on me!) Note: This lamp...

EBR made me do it! (new Vado SL 5.0 EQ)

Ah, bullshit! I could successfully ride my Vado SL with a 32T even in a race. True MTB gearing < 20 gear-in (exactly 17 gear inches). I needed that for hilly gravel rides. Now, I ride a 42T chainring in our flatland. Less wear on the cassette smallest sprockets.

Did you play with the headlight angle? You could be surprised! My front light is weaker than yours, still adequate during night rides (but I ride pretty slowly at night!) "See and be seen" (at all times).

    Wahoo Bolt, Need Help

Marts is of course right. Extreme, can you see something similar in the ELEMNT App? It should be one sensor, not three. If there are as many as three sensors (Cadence, Power, E-bike) please 'forget' all of them and start over. Wahoo is sometimes tricky in the beginning! These three sensors...

Excuse my heresy and please help, need advice from the fat tire crowd.

Fat tires I would even say a fat bike has no advantage off-road compared to a suspension bike. Fat tyre ensures more traction on loose surfaces (deep sand, morass, deep snow) and has no advantage elsewhere.

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

I do not disagree with what you have said Jeremy, but it is still doable to walk the e-bike upstairs using the Walk Mode. I have to do it often, either on the trail or after grocery shopping (inside my block of flats). 18 June 2023, my longest gravel race. I had two very heavy panniers on my...

These are new letters. For instance the Ł (ł) is for the English consonant W (whisky). The Polish phonetics for whisky would be 'łyski'*. On the other hand both rz and ż represent the same sound "zh". "rzeka" (zhe-kah = river) but "żaba" (zhah-bah = frog); it is only because of historical...

    Wahoo Bolt, Need Help

It is on the ELEMNT app on your smartphone! Contrary to Garmin (where you do almost everything on the device), you configure a Wahoo from the app on the smartphone, 100% capability. Wahoo Bolt and Wahoo Roam are working on the same principle, only Bolt allows for less data fields on data...
