I'm told connection is by cellular. Bike needs to be outside or close to a window. That's been my experience. Usually takes me a few tries to get it to connect.

Sorry for your inconvenience, but such an awesome outcome to a bad situation. (I ride Stromer in NYC, glad at least one thief is off the streets). I predict Stromer will want to use your story in their marketing efforts. Maybe even repair your bike for free!

I do recharge at work, so just one battery. I actually only need the bag to fit my battery for when I lug it to my desk. So, it is not "critical" that the bag fit the Stromer battery, but it would make things easier for me.

My bike commute is 58 miles round trip. Southern Westchester County to Financial District in NYC. Takes about 90 minutes each way by bike, takes 60 to 90 minutes each way by car. Honestly, it is a bit too long, only can manage it once or twice a week due to fitness, weather, meetings etc...
