Thanks for the responses re Quad Lock cases. There is a 99 Bikes near me that stock them so will check them out. Today everything worked flawlessly, so will monitor and make a decision after a few more commutes. I know it's tricky to post images but @pullenj that sounds like a worthy candidate.

So today I rode along my usual route but the data was not so well behaved ! When I used the Speedbox 2, there were some inaccuracies with the time and other problems but the distance was always consistent. My commute is about 19.2 - 19.5 km depending on route. Furthermore, when I synced the...

So I fitted the BikeSpeed-RS yesterday and took out the Speedbox 2. Had no issues with the installation. I prefer the fact that:- 1) It stays enabled between rides until you specifically disable it 2) You can 'deactivate' it for servicing and upgrading the firmware 3) In the RideControl app...

No you don't need to remove the crank, just drop the motor out which is easier the second time once you know what you are doing. Tools are just Allen Keys including a 5mm, 6mm and 8mm IIRC plus a Philips screwdriver All of the dongles have an issue with the extra cabling which has to be stashed...

Just ordered my BikeSpeed-RS, and will send back the Speedbox 2. I'm not doing that just for the Stats in the App situation but it seems that these guys are true Pedelec enthusiasts which might translate to a better product. Incidentally, if anyone is considering ordering from outside the EU...

I would check that the connectors are pushed tightly together. Also, did you move the wheel magnet? It's quite fussy about positioning. Should be slightly offset to the sensor not swiping right past it.

Thanks for that - Looks fine to me ;) Anybody want to buy a Speedbox 2 ? LOL

Hey @NitroMatt , I'm very curious if you can check the stats in the App. Once you finish a ride, if you tap the ride in the list of past rides, it opens a screen with the ride details. On mine, it shows Distance, Duration and Energy and then Average Speed which are all correct, but Cadence is...

LOL. Yes, sorry about that. What was amusing is that I'd asked one of the sales people if they still had it over the phone, because I never bought it when I got the bike but had seen it in the shop. He said 'No, definiteley need to order it in', but I went over there to double check and they...

I too have the Ortlieb Back Roller High Vis Black and the MIK Deck. So the MIK deck I got from Giant Hampton which are now part of Ivanhoe Cycles. They had special ordered one and had ordered a second one to put on display which I grabbed a few weeks ago. They said they would be getting more in...

After I fixed a puncture, my rear wheel was so misaligned I could hear a thump thump when riding fast and realised the magnet was touching the speed sensor. Span the wheel manually and there was a lot of drag too. I investigated and there is an allen key bolt on the gear hanger side that can...

Hi Yes, Welcome to the thread. To be honest above 25km/h without assistance, you can get definitely get some exercise and it is possible to ride round 28-30km/h as long as you are on the flat and you don't have any headwind. What I found good about the assist is that when there are challenging...

Yes, right - I watched a Youtube of the Badass box and yeah I can see that would mess up the stats. Thanks for the info though. So the only other option is the Redped ( I think that is the right model for the Quick-E 2019)

Yamaha PW speed unlockers... SpeedBox2 vs EPlus vs BadAssBox 4 or 3.4

I have a Giant Quick E 2019 with a Speedbox 2. The motor is Yamaha Syncdrive with Evo Display. Speed Display probably accurate. Only problem is I use the Ridecontrol app and it only shows Speed and Elevation. Cadence and Battery readouts are constantly 0. Elapsed time of rides are inaccurate but...

Is there anybody using a different tuning mod that is not a Speedbox 2? If so, can you try the Ridecontrol app and see if it records more than just Speed and Elevation?

Ah, just as well I didn't buy a guard then. I thought it might be tight. I think 48T might be enough for me. Funnily enough I have found that my cadence has gone up to about 68 to 70, and there is a bit of a gap between the second and third highest gears, where I spend most of the time. Maybe...

Yes. Did you do anything with the battery? I test rode a bike which had the same issue. Look back through previous posts here. It has gone back to factory mode. Any dealer can fix it with a secret button combination. The dealer I was using for the demo is Giant South Yarra, so they know for sure.

Yes and what's amusing is that sure some do go quite fast but when they take off, it takes 20 seconds to get in their cleats . I was actually thinking - can I avoid St Kilda Road? But I think I'll just relax a bit there - I turn off towards Albert Park and it's no issue once down there.

After a bit or reading up I understand why this is - any Tuning solution is actually generating fake signals. The correct values are shown on the display - unfortunately the solution doesn't go as far as writing the correct values to the Bluetooth interfaces :( PS. - Had my first 'annoyed'...

I emailed the Speedbox 2 guys:- Hi Jiri I recently purchased a Speedbox 2 for Giant 2019 through https://www.ebiketuning.com/ My bike is a Giant Quick-E 2019 (Australian 25km/h Version) I'm generally happy with the product but I have found that it is messing up the stats in the Giant...
