Allant+ 7S Recall: Headlight bracket, Headlight Cable, Brake Lines

No such issue with mine. Looks like an issue during assembly - which doesn't surprise me. I found lots of little nOOb mistakes on mine when going through it after purchase. Biggest oof was the front wheel bearings had WAY too much preload on them. Rack was (and still is) tweaked. One bottle...

    E-bike Insurance

I called my insurance company & asked, but it was kinda pricey. I forget how much but seems like it was more than a buck/day. That's getting up there to what I pay for truck insurance, so I declined.

    Music Junkies?

Wind noise is definitely an issue on all the bikes. Maybe not if you ride a Gold Wing.

    Music Junkies?

Yes though. It's programmed in. I've been into car audio for 35 years. I love the challenge of trying to reproduce the concert experience in the car and listening for hours on long drives. Riding works the same way. I've been riding with earbuds or headphones since the first Walkman & it's...

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

It's pretty common here. Actually, name your dick move - you're going to see it around these parts. I imagine I'm pretty well desensitized by now. You just expect it and get on along with it. I'm not bothered by much anymore.

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

I have a set of the Shozk - the ones with the boom. Inbound audio is OK. Outbound is amazing. I don't ride with them, but they'd probably work in a pinch. Batteries charge in like 5 minutes to full charge too - which is kinda sick.

Had that happen to my Jabras. They sent me a new set with no fuss - guessing Sony will be as good?

    Wireless Earbuds for cycling

Why, for entertainment of course. Music, podcasts, maybe talking to someone, maybe just drowning out noise or keeping out bees :) I wound up sending the Soundcores back. Even with the wind noise setting, they're still noisy and don't stay in the ear very well - especially with the lightest...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

I have a feeling that most who say they prefer tubes over tubeless have not spent much time with tubeless setups - if any at all.

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

Tubes are senseless these days. Rim and tire tech is mature for tubeless setups, sealant is good, and rotating mass savings (especially when considering the inserts some use for flat protection) improve ride quality, acceleration and handling. You also eliminate pinch flats and can use lower...

    Cable wrap solutions

I use cloth Tesa tape, Velcro, and zipties where applicable. They all have their place. Maybe heat shrink in the right application. Split loom & spiral wrap are non-starters for me - they're noisy, cause abrasions, and are just plain ugly. Never dealt with exposed connectors myself, so no...
