    Bosch dealer software?

Yeah, I understand you can get some battery data too. I'm using a Purion, so it's pretty limited in the information you get. Even if I didn't tweak anything it would be useful to be able to log battery data. Dealer trips are also pretty inconvenient. I got an ebike to spend less time in my...

    Bosch dealer software?

I'm curious what makes you think I hate Bosch. Not sure where you read that in my post - maybe you can point that out? I don't hate Bosch. I'm rather fond of their bike offerings. I hate being forced to use a dealer. I hate the idea of someone else working on my bikes.

    Bosch dealer software?

Anybody know how to get your hands on Bosch ebike dealer software? You know - the stuff you'd use to change firmware or possibly tweak parameters that requires a trip to the dealer. I'm assuming the mothership doesn't want anyone other than dealers to have it, but that's irrelevant. Or is it...

    Bosch Purion Display Controls

Not riding, but I do use it to get up stairs. It's a little awkward at first, but once you develop a technique, it works pretty well. Just need to keep weight on the rear tire so it doesn't spin.

    Wind speeds and your ride.

Wind used to be a factor 'till I got an ebike. Now I don't care.

Anyone else go tubeless on their allant?

What's the inner width on these rims? I'm about to convert too when I put new tires on. It took 1250 miles, but I finally caught a flat on the factory tube setup. I wasn't in the best of neighborhoods, so pulled a valve core, dumped in a little bottle of Stan's, and rode back home. That does...

    Chain issues on Allant 7

~4300 (55 mi/wk x 78 wks) miles on a chain seems excessive. I got just over 1,000 out of my OEM chain before reaching the .5 gap on the static Park Chain Checker. And that's using mostly Eco mode.

    Water Bottles

Not the same thing lol. I do not drink coffee while trying to stay cool. Nothing to pack. Just keep some frozen bottles in the freezer then choose them over ones that are not frozen when going on a longer ride on a hot day :)

The flagship store in Downtown Denver did last year. Probably still do.

    Water Bottles

I do not ride during the hotter parts of Summer here without freezing bottles first. It makes a massive difference. Ain't nobody got time for 100 degree water

Why Roadies Don't Smile-funny article I just read

Man, they're all over the place here. Not sure which are more dangerous - them or dogs. I've watched quite a few of them crash from carrying too much speed & overriding line of sight. Or just bad passes. Quite a lot of them seem to expect an unreasonable amount of situational awareness &...

Why Roadies Don't Smile-funny article I just read

I know plenty of road weenies. Most of them are just fine off the bike (and maybe on - I don't ride road bikes so I dunno). And they call themselves road weenies - they know the score :) . It's definitely a more uptight bunch though in general compared to everyone else. And yeah, I know a...

Where To Vacation With Paved Bicycle Trails, E-Bike Rentals & Nearby Lodging?

Quite a lot of paved paths and rentals in Colorado. It also gets rather warm down here on the Front Range in the Summer. You can stay in downtown Denver, rent from REI, etc and go a different direction each day. You'll find a lot of company that way though. MUPs are everywhere though so you...

    Water Bottles

Fun fact: Every time I order bike parts, I also pick up a water bottle or 3. Alway non-insulated, but try to pick up something different every time. I use them all over the place...at the office, around the house, keep a couple in the truck, on trips, etc. I have an unhealthy collection at...

Why Roadies Don't Smile-funny article I just read

Seems like road weenies just take the whole thing way too seriously. There's nothing serious about riding a bike. That's what makes it fun :)

Problems installing a Trek "Range Boost" battery kit onto my Allant+ 7.

My dealer told me that doing the work myself would void the warranty. They did say it was easy though.

    Dropper Post for Old Folks

I have a PNW Coast on my Timberjack. Dropper works well. The suspension part - jury's out on that. It works, but feels different than the Thudbusters on other bikes. I think I need to play with air pressure. It's not as predictable as the Thudbusters where I have it set, which I find a...
